Its been a pleasure teaching you and seeing you "find yourself"you are a special young manwith a literary understanding beyond your years. When you have difficult decisions to make think about some of the literature you have read and make a happy future for yourself Take care

    Morning All

I neither knew nor cared who the footballer was, and probably wouldn't know "owt" about him anyway, it is the wife I feel for.

Back home for last night and tonight. Off to pick up our new caravan tomorrow. We are treating ourself to a top of the range one, our excuse is we do use it. Staying overnight near Louth to try it out, and then back Wednesday, hospital check on Thursday lunchtime then off as soon as I get back to Wiltshire, Castle Combe then Devizes in the new 'van, 2 rallies.

nmlc - Where are you off to in your 'van?

Got one load of washing done last night and on the airer in the conservatory (best dryer in the house) and set the washer to have a load ready for waking up to this morning, and have another in now. Washing on line but watching it doesn't blow off, also set BM for a loaf to be ready for waking up, got organised for once. Now need to go and help DH empty and clean our existing 'van.

    save-a-holic :hello: and welcome

Lou - Did I spot on FB that congratulations are in order?

((hugs)) and sympathies to those with strong winds and rain today, we have the wind here, but no rain (yet) and it is not to be buffetting to sleep :rotfl:

Bitsy Hope the kitty is OK soon.

((((hugs)))), Hi-5's, spoons, etc., to all those who would like them, take care all DG

Forgot to say, our garden is mainly a flower one, and veggies are not much use when you travel so much :o:D;);) anyway we changed some of our shrubs for small fruit trees, and we have plums and apples set on some of the trees, and a few blueberries in tubs and strawberrries I picked up last minute from Lidl growing in a stawberry planter. I may not be around when they flower, so no doubt the birds will enjoy them.:D

Thanks for the Pm's ;) It's the quite ones you have to watch is all i can say .
    [/QUOTE]

BB- I only found out yesterday, and that was by asking the men on the minibus going to our match :D:rotfl:

I did gammon in the slow cooker yesterday,I knew we'd be late home with the footie (and the end of season drink at the pub ;)),so plenty of that left for tonight.May have to find something else for DS1 as he's not keen.

We are having a get together with my 2 brothers and families next weekend.DB2,DP & my little niece ,were staying the night, then she can go to bed when she's tired, but we forgot about their dog.

Up to now his stepdaughter has usually gone home early with her DB and seen to the dog,but they are now in their own place so thats out. He's rung the lady who dog sits when they go away, and she can't do it,so... do we introduce our giant of a hound to their tiny chiauaua(sp?)/Jack Russell cross :D He gets on ok with other dogs on his own patch, there's no malice in him,but he's never met one so small and he is clumsy:o and he likes chasing squirrels. Will he know she's a dog :rotfl:I'm thinking it would be easier to move it to lunchtime and they just go home after.

I need to pop up to the library to take my Dukan diet books back, they were only on a short loan, then start a good clean up for the family visit.

    (((Hugs to those in need)))
    Have a good day x

Just wanted to let everyone know how much I enjoy reading your OS Daily posts everyday - don't post much myself as everyone else's lives always sound sooo much more interesting then mine! :)

I've been MIA for a while but have been so upset reading about Bitsy Bean's Daisy Cat - how terrible. Unfortunately I missed exactly what happened to her but I really feel for you and your parents (and Daisy of course).

I made the infamous Twinks Hobnobs yesterday and they were a resounding success so will probably make some more of those tonight.

Spent the weekend putting items on eBay so here's hoping that I'll make a bit of money from that. It seems to take sooooo long to pay the debts off - but I just have to take a deep breath and continue plodding on and chipping away at it.

We were gifted some pork chops from FIL so we will be having those tonight with veg, pots & gravy - free food!!!! :T

Have started a mini-allotment in my back [STRIKE]yard [/STRIKE]garden. We built tiered planters all around and filled them with compost and now have some really healthy-looking (if young) strawberries, tomatoes, lettuce, gooseberries, herbs, rocket, peppers, brussel sprouts, cabbage, turnip, carrots & parsnips. I am soooo excited!!! It goes to show that you don't need a lot of room - just a little imagination (it was DH's idea).

I'm going to REALLY make the effort to post more on here as I really enjoy reading everyone else and hopefully make a contribution myself. :o

You made me cry as well tired mum, good luck to him, he will probably never forget that teacher, the good ones make such a difference.

Taplady thanks for the info re SW, I have just picked up the mag and am having a read. Will probably drive you mad with questions:D

Well have the makings of a carrot cake as its my DS1 favourite. He has sent me a list of things he wants me to make while he is home:) it will be a pleasure, I love having him here.

Its awful, cold wet and windy, nearly got blown over in Mr T's carpark:eek:

  • Tired mum....what a lovely teacher:D..made me cry too:o

Bitsy...I couldnt see a cat be put down solely because it was blind..I was going to say that when you mentioned it the other day but didnt want to put my foot in it:o

Have been cake making today and cleaned bottom food cupboard out, whilst it was empty Fatcat got in to explore and got stuck behind the oven:eek: stupid animal:cool:
It is starting to sink in that I am never going back to work. I am typing up my notice after this and sending it in tomorrow morning.
DS had a bit of a do when I was leaving him at school and it felt soooo much better to be able to be there with him till he settled without the worry of getting to work:)
Spaghetti and meatballs for tea later...DS fave tea .

Re the footballer...I used to live near him and go in same pubs etc years ago and he is anything but quiet BB......bit of a knob
The thing that gets me about all these gagging clauses etc is that it just drags the publicity out on the whole thing. If the papers had written about their affair it would have been in the paper for a few days and then be chip paper.....this way it has been in the paper for weeks and everyone knows who he is anyway:p

    Afternoon all

Aaaw tiredmum that's a lovely message for your son. Gulp, sniff...

Good luck to all those taking exams.

Bitsey-Dolly still has her paws crossed and sends get well purrs to Daisy.

Have a lovely time all you caravanners and soon to be holidaymakers.

Good luck Taplady with the decorating.

    Hi Save-a-holic keep posting.

    (Hugs to) NPM

Tea tonight is whoopsied meatballs from the freezer-can't you tell it's the last week of the month?

I may make a lemon drizzle cake later and I have been researching making elderflower champagne. Anyone got any tips? I am most worried about steralising the buckets and bottles.

Off to Wilko in a bit to get some of those storage bags you suck out the air with a vacuum to put DS's winter jackets away.

    Have a good afternoon.

I was out years ago in the city where he's from (& I am from)
We in a large group & someone was buying the group a drink. I wasn't paying attnetion to whoever it was. It was him. He wouldn't buy me a drink as I wasn't pretty enough. That as may be, but I also expect it was because I wasn't fawning all over him.

I really must get on, have done nothing today. Well car in in the garage & have taken youngest to toddler group!

  • lol mrsMH sounds about right.

Bryan biggs was always a one for the ladies but having said that this was years ago when he was young and single so why shouldnt he....but all that is supposed to stop once you are a married man
