    morning!

back to work today for both of us - DH was up at 2am:eek: I'm not at work till 2pm so doing some jobs this morning.

House tidy:j WM is on - there's a bit of ironing to get done but nothing urgent.

Am aiming to do another coat of paint in the hall/stairs - I started weeks ago but came to a standstill and couldn't find the motivation to gt going again but woke up this morning and thought - get your a*se in gear woman and get it done:D

Went to visit Mums friend yesterday in the nursing home - the home is being invegtigated by the authorities for various faults but we have not complaints really, she's always well cared for, clean and has put on weight since being there(was only3 stone when she went there:eek:)
I did her a manicure, trimmed and filed her nails, massaged in some nice handcream and gave her some nice perfume. Smells are important as she's blind. She really enjoyed the pampering:) Little things can make such a difference to peoples quality of life.

BB - hope Daisy is a bit better x

    (((silver maid)))

Julie - I've done SW for 4 years now - lost 2 stone to get to my target and have maintained for 3 years in fact I'm 3lbs under my target now:) so I'm a big fan of it.

Just had some toatoes on toast for breakfast - must get started now on the painting!
    Do what you love :happyhear

Not a lot of sleep last night as a car alarm kept going off in the street, it is still going off every time a car drives past and it is really loud, the owner obviously hasn't noticed yet:mad:

    Feeling really guilty.

Have just found out that the car had been broken in to:o

    Morning my lovelies :D

Boy it's cold here in the wind brrrr Going to be putting tights on DD as she was too cold with short socks on this morning.
DD off to pre school this morning and for once I don't have any extra things to pick up from supermarket so will crack on with the housework (and some good music too I think ;)).
I need to make a birthday card for SIL so will try and do that this afternoon. Also need to make some twinks so busy busy busy here today.
Tea tonight is bacon, sausage and bean casserole.

Catwatch: Parents went to see Daisy last night. She still can't see although Vet says it could take up to another weekfor any improvements :( My parents are quite upset about this as they don't think she'd had quality of life being blind. I disagree although I've not really said that. I am considering telling them if they can't cope with her being blind then I don't want her put to sleep I will have her at home with me :o I just can't accept that she won't adapt. Yes she's young, outdoorsy cat but she will adapt. Anyway they are off to a hospital appointment this morning so will ring them and have a chat about it with them later. thanks for asking after her, means a lot :)

Bargainbird - LOL you must be the LAST person on Earth to find out who it is :rotfl:

esmf - Oh dear sorry to see your weekend wasn't as planned. Hope the boys are better now xx

Positive vibes for all those taking exams this week xx

Hugs and spoons all round. Have a good day OS or not.

But it does beg the question though why have a car alarm if a) it doesn't prevent burglary and b) the owner doesn't hear it anyway <shrug>

    Morning all.

Have taken car in for MOT & serive. That's £250, just for service as MOT free as we got the car from there. I hope nothing needs doing that costs. as that is a heck of a lot of money.
Taking smallest to toddler group soon. Older 2 at school. Husband away till end of week.
Dinner is left over chicken for the children. DD likes a korma, boys will have cold chicken with beans & chips. I've got vegetables to cook so will do them with cous-cous.
Footballer is Bryan Biggs ;) I've named him on twitter so am awaiting being sued ;)

Jaxx, give your meds a few weeks. They do take a while to settle down.

Moorhen, the problemn nowadays is noone thinks alarms go off for any reason other than a fault! Because so many do. There's a house alarm near me that goes off all the time when the owners are away. One time it'll go off & they really will have been broken into. But they won't get it fixed.

I can't remember what anyone else said :o

Love (((hugs))) & spoons all round

Just wanted to let everyone know how much I enjoy reading your OS Daily posts everyday - don't post much myself as everyone else's lives always sound sooo much more interesting then mine! :)

I've been MIA for a while but have been so upset reading about Bitsy Bean's Daisy Cat - how terrible. Unfortunately I missed exactly what happened to her but I really feel for you and your parents (and Daisy of course).

I made the infamous Twinks Hobnobs yesterday and they were a resounding success so will probably make some more of those tonight.

Spent the weekend putting items on eBay so here's hoping that I'll make a bit of money from that. It seems to take sooooo long to pay the debts off - but I just have to take a deep breath and continue plodding on and chipping away at it.

We were gifted some pork chops from FIL so we will be having those tonight with veg, pots & gravy - free food!!!! :T

Have started a mini-allotment in my back [STRIKE]yard [/STRIKE]garden. We built tiered planters all around and filled them with compost and now have some really healthy-looking (if young) strawberries, tomatoes, lettuce, gooseberries, herbs, rocket, peppers, brussel sprouts, cabbage, turnip, carrots & parsnips. I am soooo excited!!! It goes to show that you don't need a lot of room - just a little imagination (it was DH's idea).

I'm going to REALLY make the effort to post more on here as I really enjoy reading everyone else and hopefully make a contribution myself. :o
