:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: sounds like a good justification to me Tricia! :T :T :rotfl: :rotfl:
Cheri - get yoursself learning if you fancy it mrs! :T And I'm impressed at that woman! :T :T That's all I wanted in the first place, a bit of a shove in the right direction as I had absolutely no idea! You're right, no stopping me now
So - tomorrow is planned like some kind of military operation (well, if you have military operations that are incredibly shabby, leave lots of things to chance, and involve cake, a gig, and a beer festival :rotfl: :rotfl:)
But right now? We have a bottle of ginger wine
I love ginger wine
<must remember 5k run at 9am> :rotfl:0 -
Dr Daffs sorry I missed Graduation Day
I sneaked on to the blog to see the piccy and you looked great
Many congratulations :j:T:j
And it seems to have lifted your spirits considerably as you seem cheerier than ever :T:T:T:j:j:j:T:T:T
Hope the car is back and better.
Yay, to building walls in the Garden - How amazing was Cheri's friend:j Proud Member of Mike's Mob :j0 -
Oh but I dont know what to learn. Maybe I should start with the triangle. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0

Cheri - What about a 'shaky egg'. By being part of the percussion, you gain confidence and enjoy.0

Mr Daffs was trying to teach me the shaky egg - it's harder than you'd think! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Cheri - that reminds me - I was going to send you a triangle!! Although I now can't remember why:rotfl: But if you still want one, send me your address and it will go in the post this week and you can start practicing
Up early(ish - feels early :rotfl:) for parkrun this morning :T :T Am aiming to beat my previous time of 38 mins and 48 seconds :rotfl: No idea whether I will! Actually, I'm really just aiming to enjoy it, but my little sister is getting faster and faster so I eventualy want to beat herShe did a 5k in 33 mins last week - absolutely no way I'll beat that yet, but I'm working on the assumption that I'll stick at it for longer so I'll beat her eventually after she's long given up (and no longer cares :rotfl: :rotfl:)
(also, I'm working on the assumption that beta blockers slow you down a bit (and I have no interest in knowing whether they do or not, thanks!), so once I stop taking them I should be whizzing along :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Run done :T :T :T :T No results yet but my watch said 38 mins 33 secs, so I'm well chuffed
WI was cheery
Car collected from garage - £80 and it's got to go back next Monday for a service before going on holiday
And......... I've built myself a wall:D
You can imagine just how happy that's made me
Well, I've built the first layer - going to see if it falls down overnight before I stick another layer on the top
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Have approximately 5 minutes to get myself slightly less covered in cement (which I was applying with my hands by the end :rotfl: :rotfl:) and looking more like a Rock Star Girlfriend before the next exciting adventure of the day! :T :T :T :T :T
(going to need to spend tomorrow lying on the sofa staring into space I think...:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:)

:j Yay to first layer of the wall :j
And I am sure you have made your self in to a fab Rock Star Girlfriend:j Proud Member of Mike's Mob :j0 -
I did indeed (although there were still tell tale traces of cement under my fingernails :rotfl: but fortunately it was very dark
:rotfl:)
Gig was FAB actually :T :T
Then came home (wall hadn't fallen down), drove for an hour and paid £3 to get into the place I used to live and work to see ex-ex-mr-daffs doing some tricks I've seen him do approximately 50 million times already (before discovering I could have sneaked in through the car park for free - d'oh!)
Then popped into the pub and found an old mate propping up the bar, so joined him (with a pot of tea :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:) for an hour, before driving hom again. Just got in. Yawn!
HAd a FAB day though, utterly fab :T :T0 -
(wall's still standing :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:)
Today is back to bed with a cuppa, then exciting trip to B&Q, build the rest of my wall, order some topsoil, and then HAVE A REST :rotfl:0 -
Well done to the wall still standing. There is something most satisfying in building something - especially if you've waited a long while for it.
Winston Churchill used to build walls for relaxation. He was an old war horse but he did leave nettles to grow for butterflies. Somehow that made him seem more ordinary. But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?0
