Friend's just gone, garage has still got car (although apparently it's only going to cost £80), and I've got an hour to get some w*rk done before I need to toddle off to flute lesson
All good fun! :T :T
Friend also took me outside and told me exactly what I needed to do to build wall, what I didn't need to do, how much soil I needed to order, how long to let things dry :T :T : TI am indebted to him foreverEXACTLY what I needed someone to do - why has it taken so bloody long?! More than happy to do it myself, I just didn't have the first clue HOW to, but now I am armed with that knowledge, I shall be rolling me sleeves up and getting it started tomorrow afternoon
May well have my garden sorted by the end of the weekend! :j :j :j :j :j :j (but let's not hold our breath...)0 -

Hi there cheery and everyone
Huge congratulations on your graduation hon - and i agree a brilliant picture in which you look very happy
I will get that article posted to you- i have no idea where the time goes and intend to try out the Getting Things Done list (you helpfully popped up) this weekend - :T - although when i trundled into the kitchen earlier i realised the getting things done related to papery/projecty type things and not to housework
:rotfl: - gah! is all i can say to that and that the housework will, in the main, have to wait for at least another week
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: - ok i do do the essential bits *honest*
Also wanted to say thank you to you cheery for inspiring me to try out some new things :T I have a couple of things in the pipeline but will report back when everything is more definite
Ooh and i also found a fabby looking charity shop - where the prices are not actually as much as buying the item new in the first place :T:T:T Once i'm armed with opening times i'll be heading out for an adventure- quite a few miles away from me actually

Oooh dedicated, you sound jolly! :T :T :T
I guess you could make housework into a 'project'(if you wanted to, that is :rotfl:) I tend to use flylady for housework - or, more accurately, I aim to use flylady for housework, but mostly I just don't do any :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Excited to hear about your projects - do come and report back! :T And charity shop adventures! :T :T Hooray! :j :j :j :j
And aw, thanks for saying I inspired you to try some new things:j :j What a lovely thing to say!
Made my day that has
Can't wait to hear what you're up to!
Must say I'm feeling pretty chirpy myself today :j :j :j Absolutely lovely seeing my friend this afternoon, Sooooo excited about getting the garden sorted all by myself, going to ring up about getting the door fitted tomorrow too :T :T And my flute lesson was SO cheery, SO much the right thing to do! :j :j :j Had a lovely time! :T :T
Off out for a little wander with Mr Daffs now in the last of the sunshine (there's none here, but I'm hoping there might be a little bit up on top of the hill :rotfl:) Up early for running in the park in the morning - eek!
Feeling all warm and fuzzy about you lovely lot and MSE and the whole world in general this evening:rotfl:

Lovely to cheery flute lessons. i am a tad envious I so wish I could play a musical instrument. How lovely that your friend has explained how to do the wall. It is often the way that once you know how there is no stopping you. I used to work with a lady who built her own house (I mean herself and her husband). She used to take herself off to building sites and ask the workers for a mini lesson. One time she took a fancy to a particular pattern on the end of a house wall so she parked up and drew a to scale size graph of the pattern then the next week she went to the building foreman on the site and asked if he could talk her through how to do it. He did one better and came round to the plot and started her off then kept coming back to check on her. He was so impressed he offered her a job! Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Mr Daffs looks SO proud of you in the piccie. :j:j
Anyone looking for justification for leaving the housework 'one more week' should remember that the longer you put it off, the longer it will be before you have to do it again. A bit like batch cooking, really :rotfl::rotfl:But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?0
