Phew!
Well, 5 minutes to go and I'm all done
Presents made and wrapped (ok, I was still making them about 20 minutes ago :rotfl: :rotfl:)
Bed changed
Downstairs hoovered (upstairs can wait)
House tidy (well, tidy enough, and I've started drinking now so I don't care about the rest)
Friends visited
Father Christmas and The Snowman watched (multi tasking while making and wrapping presents)
er, that's it, but somehow it eemed to take all day! :rotfl: :rotfl: Not got a Christmas cake yet - but I'll knock us up some kind of fruity cake tomorrow, and top it with an inch-thick layer of marzipan - there's only me that eats it anyway, And I'm mostly in it for the marzipan :rotfl: :rotfl:
Merry Christmas all, hope your wishes are fulfilled, and you all have a lovely peaceful day xx0 -
Hi Cheery, hope you had a lovely Christmas and all is well with hospital stuff.
Saw this on the bbc website today and thought of you

might give you something to do while you are recuperating! :cool:0 -

Thanks lionheartedgirl! :T :T
Well, here I am on the other side, looking like something out of Frankenstein, and feeling like robocop - entirely unable to move head :rotfl: :rotfl: (and certainly none of that rolling on the floor!) :rotfl:
Still, all good, and I must say I feel remarkably well considering I've just had my throat slitHome feels VERY quiet compared to noisy loud hospital
And the tea is much better here too
I'd kind of forgotten it was Christmas, too, so fairly lights are nice
Signed off work for at least 2 weeks, and more if I need it, several films recorded while I've been in hospital, and friends lined up to visit over the next few days, so all good!
I expect I'll spend a fair bit of time popping in and out of here too, making plans for next yearHope you all had a good Christmas! :T xxx

Welcome home. Glad that the op went well although I might be scared to meet you in the dark if your description of the scar and the way you hold your head is anything to go by. I hope that you start feeling better soon and can move your head enough to look at the computer. Dont go overdoing it and trying to rush back to work though. Take your time to get properly better and do exactly as the Dr orders. When I had my big operation I was told to use bio oil (I think that was what it was called) daily on the scar once it had healed and it helps to reduce the redness and increases the rejuvenation of skin. My scar is still noticeable but not so bad as it would have been had I not used the creams. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0
