Gotcha! I think thats a really good way of accounting - after all, if you're saving something so you can spend it, like with the Palace Fund, its only doing its job if you then spend it!

ETA - I thought I could get one over on you then! No flies on our Cheery :)

Mother's gone, had a lovely day pottering about, went over to the city farm and looked at the chickens and had an ENORMOUS piece of cake :D

Also bought another bit of fence for the garden :T :T Still got to put it up, but it's a start :rotfl: :rotfl:

Did a bit more internet banking, having remembered seveeral things I'd previously forgotten (like paying for the bloke to fit the front door) so I've got slightly more in the everyday account than I thought :T :T

Although having said that, yesterday I bought a new underwear set (yet to arrive in the post) and am currently bidding on a pair of boots on ebay :p:D

Forgot to tell you, my mother brought some cards she and her friend had made. My mum's were, at my request, pretty simple, just patterned paper and a few sparkly bits etc. Her friend's were a bit more garish, all 'cute' puppies and kittens, old fashioned flowers, coupled with shiny gold HAPPY BIRTHDAY! stickers.

Apart from one, which had a picture she'd evidently cut out of a magazine. It was a pencil/watercolour picture of a woman, kind of chorus girl dressed in pink corset type top, long black boots etc...

... and a pair of crotchless bloomers :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Mum's friend had stuck a BEST WISHES! sticker next to the picture :p We think she didn't realise... (it wasn't immediately obvious, but there's definitely no crotch in those pants) :rotfl: :rotfl: Goodness knows where she got the picture from   :rotfl: :rotfl:

I haven't laughed so much for a long time. Obviously the card is now propped up on my kitchen windowsill :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I'm still laughing now :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Good grief where has this week gone?!?! Train, office, 3 hour meetings, train, pub, train, more meetings, strange meeting, more train, more meetings, lots of staring at the computer, and another weird trip to the pub. Still, Back in the office now, nice and quiet today, lots to do, but nowehere specific to be, so I can stick the radio on and crack on in my own time and hopefully I won't get anything actually *added* to the list, which is a good start! Then I can go home tonight, don't have to go out anywhere, and can stay at home until Tuesday if I want :D

Hope you're all well and jolly!

Need to get a little mor organised, have been out for both dinner AND tea twice already this week!

Oh, and I forgot to say - Mr Daffs drove the car into a post last night and there's now a huge dent in the passenger door and you can't open it from the outside.

Bl**dy car, more trouble than it's worth.

(I say that, but I fear that this incident, a bit like me forgetting about the MOT, can't actually be blamed on the car... :p)

(I'm darn well going to try though :D)

Or you could always blame the post! ;)

Sounds like a busy week :D
