Have you done anything nice and relaxing MrsMoo?0
-
I have Daffs!. Lots of walks up and out of the village and taken lots of pictures. Read a whole book! I have been cutting pictures out of my old housey magazines and making an inspiration board the new schloss. I have talked on the phone for hours with a very good friend who is my angel. Been frustrated because I cant get any pictures to upload onto my blog. Oh and I have been out to meetings on Friday and Today to 2 new places which meant I got to do some charity shop shopping. Brecon charity shops were a bit posh and expensive though.
PS, I read all about your bike ride and you do live in a beautiful place. Might not be by the sea but it is beautiful in its own right. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Thanks Mrs Moo
Sounds like you've been having a lovely time! :T Well done! (how annoying with the blog post though! Have you sorted it yet?)
Just been for my last visit to the endocrinology consultant - quite sad really, he's a lovely blokeHad 3 terrified female students in there with him today :rotfl: I said I'd had the camera up me nose (was corrected - apparently it's *down* not *up* :rotfl:) - he asked them what might happen during the op that would necessitate checking up my nose (sorry, *down*) first - was a little alarmed to hear 'they could cut something and she could lose a lot of blood which could press on her windpipe' :rotfl: :rotfl: Er, no (they might accidentally nick my vocal cords is the right answer!). They all had a prod at my neck - one telling me I don't have a goitre, when in fact I have a large enough one to be sent to be prodded by an entire lecture theatre full of dental students as a case study :rotfl: :rotfl:
And then doc said 'has anyone ever told you you look like a younger version of a famous actress?' - er, only you doc :rotfl: :rotfl: and nobody else can see it :rotfl: Had the 3 students guessing - one said Kate Winslet! :rotfl: Blimey. But no, as he's said before, I apparently look like a young Liz Hurley:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: They didn't know who she was :rotfl: he said 'she was in Austin Powers' (unfortunately, I do NOT actually look anything like Liz Hurley, young or otherwise, what a shame! :rotfl: :rotfl:)
Anyway, operation should all be over and done with before Christmas, was hoping for slightly sooner than 'before Christmas' but that's actualy not that far away! Was quite sad that I wasn't going back to see him again, it's been fun :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Time for a cuppa now I reckon0 -
That sort of morning definitely deserves a cuppa! Good to know that it should be happening before the end of the yearDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0

I would agree with the consultant. You do have a look of Liz Hurley and if I was told that I would be very flattered indeed. Glad to hear that the op is going to be sorted. Will he not be the one doing it?Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Thanks Mrs Moo
Well, now that's two people who've said it, so it must be true
I was indeed flattered, but didn't believe him :rotfl: (bit like the woman who asked Mr Daffs for ID when we tried to buy a bottle of ginger wine - he was 47! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I thought he should be flattered, but it was so bl**dy ludicrous he refused to be :rotfl: :rotfl: (I had to produce my driving licence to buy it in the end - but was less flattered as they did have an 'if you look under 30...' policy, and I was only 27, but quite frankly if I look under 30 when I'm 47 I shall be very pleased
)
No, consultant isn't the one doing the op. Have met the surgeon though (he didn't tell me I looked like a film star though so I don't like him quite so much)

Wow! A Liz Hurley look alike!
I'm glad to hear you are getting your op over and done with by Christmas. Poor terrified students :rotfl: I know exactly what you mean and I wonder if patients ever run screaming out of the door when they come out with the most lurid theories.
I expect you are too young yet to wonder if they are actually on work experience while deciding which GCSEs to do. :cool:But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?0 -
Just sneaking in at work to say laptop cable broke yesterday! darn pesky thing. Not much warning either - have ordered a new one and fortunately I'm working in the office for the next couple of days anyway, but fingers crossed it arrives before Friday or else my working at home day is going to be a little useless!
(might be an excuse for an impromptu day off!)

Cheery, my parcel arrived :j:j:kisses2: Thank you. I have already had a little play with it and Coco seems to enjoy it too as he keeps shouting Is that nice Coco?
you are very naughty but I like you very much indeed. I was feeling really bleurgh today and you cheered me up no end. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Thank you Mrs Moo
I did feel a little naughty
but couldn't help it
Glad you (and coco!) like it
In office on my own today, after a long day yesterday, a bizarre night in the pub listening a friend's bizarre improvised choir thing, and I'm going straight from work to see Mr Daffs' gig tonight. Need a day off! <yawn> Might be popping in quite a lot today to drag myself through the day!
Tea first though :coffee:0
