Wow. Sounds bad, Cheery, hope the afternoon *was* okay.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Afternoon much better thanks KC, although did lots of brooding on what happened in the morning. Not entirely sure what to do about it. Will think on.
Finally got home now though (after a nicely relaxing al anon meeting :T). Blithering exhausted! :rotfl: :rotfl: Think I might dig out some gin after all0 -
So much for the gin - just varnished the outside of my new stable door :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j SOOOOOOooooo exciting! :T :T :T :T :T :T :T :T :T0

Yay, does that mean the door is fitted? How exciting. The sun is shining here today, if I had a stable door the top would be open. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0

Hooray for a new shiny door
Hope today is cheerier than yesterday!

Door is indeed fitted :T :T Very exciting :T :T Sadly it's not open because I'm 60 miles away in the office :rotfl: :rotfl: Rather annoyingly it does seem to have rather a lot of waggle room in it, and one of the bolts is rather difficult to close, but I suppose it was too much to ask for something to be done properly wasn't it?! Yawn.
Still, today is already better than yesterday :T :T0 -
Well, I'm finally home from work <yawn>
but today has been a *GOOD* day :j :j :j :j
No special reason. Cold feels like it's on the way out, people have actually answered the phone when I've rung them (and have said YES to things - very important! :T). Little things have been finished off. Big things have been started. I've eaten a fair bit of cake
And I've got tomorrow off work:j :j :j :j
Not going to do much this evening. Heating's on for a bath later :j :j :j House is tidy enough that I feel absolutely no need to tidy it any more. Might have a mini tootAnd I'm going to find something to eat. Might pop a cheery little something on the old blog. And other than that I'm going to have a nice rest :T :T
Money-wise, we are absolutely NOT going to talk about the fact that today has involved lunch out, tea and muffin on the train on the way home, and several bars of chocolate :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Tomorrow will be Very Cheery IndeedEither yoga or spin class at 7.30am (although I'll see what time I go to bed before writing that in pen! :rotfl:). Might put another coat of varnish on the door. Will have a go at putting fence up, and then will have elevenses on my new terrace :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
).
Going to a talk called 'let me introduce you to woodlice' at 1pm - apparently there's 20 types of woodlice round here! And we'll be told about woodlice in art, literature, religion and music (although the whole thing is 45 minutes long so I'm assuming that despite having been on earth for millions of years, they haven't made it big in the human entertainment world (although I'm sure they don't care) :rotfl:)
Then hospital in the afternoon for my vocal cord check, for which I apparently have to allow 2 whole hours. Still, nicely relaxing day overall, then only one to work before the weekend (and I've arranged it so I can do most of that in a cafe if necessary:j :j :j)
Hope you're all well and jolly! :T0 -
Oh dear, I got so excited about 20 types of woodlice that I read that as 'we will be learning about woodlouse art, religion &c.' instead of woodlice in art &c. Oh dear dear. I love woodlice, and I am a biologist, and I didn't know there were lots of types!
Enjoy your lovely day off with your new super cool door!!Weight loss: Start weight: 80kg; Current Weight: 77kg; Target weight: 55kg0 -
Wow, now woodlouse art and religion would indeed be worth far more than 45 minutes! I bet it's a fascinating subject
Might ask a few of the ones hanging out in my bathroom about it next time I'm in there
