Just been food/charity shopping. Got a brand new pair of DKNY jeans for a tenner. Deliberated for a while because I wouldn't normally spend that much on jeans :eek: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: But then I don't buy jeans very often cos I'm quite particular, and I've got quite a limited range of clothes I can fit into at the min
Just need a sit down for a while. I'm hot and bothered carrying all the food home, come back in and the heating's been on for 2.5 hours because Mr Daffs wanted a bath - but then never got round to it, and didn't turn the heating off either. LIke a bloody sauna in hereBleurgh. And the whole place is a tip. So it looks like my evening in alone is going to involve a large amount of tidying and cleaning, and then at least there's water for a long hot bath I suppose!

A definite "feet up" time is required, I think
and I'm sure it will be lovely in the end
2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Oh dear to missing the village show - but woo! to brand new jeans for a good price (for the make and that they are new
)
Very good of the tea and toast man to return your money - and i guess he'll feel better too, especially if you do go in again as he'll know he's not lost the custom
Bleurgh to house tidying and cleaning - a big project of mine at the moment - i *do* feel better though knowing all the things we have are loved or useful and the rooms that i've done so far are now an absolute breeze to keep on top of cleaning and tidying-wise as everything has its place :T This has been the main motivation behind my starting this thorough declutter and organise. Now we know where things are so its easy to get to things, its nicer getting up to clean and tidy rooms which makes us feel more inclined to do the more fun creative things as there's not the need to shift a load of things out of the way to get to the materialsand because we aren't spending time shifting all those things there's more time to do fun and crafty things :j:j:j Have to say i'll be very glad when i've finished the last room though :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Brilliantly put, DDFW!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Brilliant indeed DDFW! :T :T :T
Feeling better already now I've had a cuppa and I'm not all hot and bothered :rotfl: :j :j
Have also pretty much tidied the kitchen too, so getting there! :T :T
Got a list of things I'd like to get done tonight...
* tidy bedroom
* change sheets
* hoover upstairs
* write blog post
* write email re other blog
* nice bath
* reply to friend's email
* play cheery new clarinet:j :j Which I am enjoying very much :j :j :j
So not all bad! Clarinet first I reckon0 -
that sounds like a nice pottering kind of an evening. How nice of the man from the cafe. It is the kind of thing that I would have done (refuse the refund) and I would make an effort to go back just because he insisited so he is obviously a good business man.
Clarinet sounds exciting.Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -
I'll be going back Mrs Moo - although I already owe them one from the time my stilletto went through the floorboards
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Sheets changed, and bed platform mezzanine thing cleared of all snotty tissues, empty glasses, half drunk tea, finished bottles of booze, old sudoku pads, pretty-much-finished tubs of moisturiser, calomine lotion (why??), empty packets of tablets, and 12 books (!) that I'd stuffed behind the headboard :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
I'm pretty sure we'll sleep better tonight
Unfortunately, the advantage (and disadvantage) of having the bed 10 feet off the ground is that you can clear the decks pretty easily by just flinging stuff off the side :rotfl: Great funBut now the actual floor of the bedroom looks like there's been some kind of explosion :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Oooo you are making me feel so much better. I still haven't unpacked my case from the proms and now have a pile of clothes sitting on top of it too. Have to pack it to go to Cardiff for three days next week so must get it done. My excuse.............. there is no room in the wardrobe.
That doesnt excuse the numerous water glasses, tissues, 20 odd House beautiful magazines, 10 books and 3 notebooks (just on my bedside table) though.Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -
:rotfl: :rotfl: MrsMoo - glad I'm not the only one
I set the timer and in 15 minutes managed to pick up all the clothes off the floor, replace the books on the bookshelf, gather up all the rubbish, and get a load of washing ready to go on (it's in the machine now :T :T)
I even got together 2 large bags of clothes for the charity shop :T :T
Plenty more to do, but the floor's clear, and all the clothes are back in the wardrobe now :T :T :T Mr Daffs has SO many clothes (like literally, 3 times as much wardrobe space, and the same with shelves etc). He hates having more than one shirt on a hanger, but given that they were previously all over the floor, and that there just aren't enough hangers in the WORLD to cope with all his shirts, and that I was the one hanging them all up, he might just have to get used to it this once :rotfl: :rotfl:
Then made myself a LOVELY tea of pasta, tomatoey sauce, and quorn sausages and a sprinkling of cheese - perfect :T :T :T
And I've stopped procrastinating and sent off my email about writing on the other blog :T :T :T
What else was on my list?? :rotfl:
Well, I'm not hoovering upstairs now, it's too lateand we're a very dingy house, and I can't see the muck on the floor any more so it can wait :rotfl: :rotfl: Will trot and write my own blog post :T :T

Right, blog post done :T :T :T
And have also done a weekly review thing - do you remember I was following the Getting Things Done book? (well, in my own special way of course :rotfl: :rotfl:) Been sticking to it for work - makes things very manageable indeed :T :T But been neglecting the home one a little bitSo I've gone through all my folders and updated my lists, and now I know exactly what needs doing and can make proper decisions about it :T :T
Good thing is I've actually FINISHED a few of my 'projects' (they class a 'project' as anything which takes more than one action - so they don't have to be huge :rotfl:) Still very satisfying. Added a couple of extra though
And now I reckon it's about to curl up on the sofa don't you? The only things off my list I didn't do are hoovering upstairs, and a bath (after all that, that's both of us that have intended to have a bath today and failed! Oh dear! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0
