My local cinema is independently owned, it's £5.50 but they do Orange Wednesdays and it has a much nicer atmosphere than the big chains0

They can shove that right up their divx
Coffee ... everywhere! Damn you!
It's nearing the tipping point for me now. It's usually an Orange Wednesday job when we go, but when these sorts of things happen;Ronaldo_Mconaldo wrote: »[W]ho wants to pay £8 for one ticket to go to have a bunch of chavs texting and calling their friends on their mobile throughout the movie.Getting my seat kicked from behind by morons; idiots who can't cope without looking at their brightly lit mobiles, noisy sweet wrappers and popcorn chewing, and then there's the whisperers.
I always think I'd be better downloading a pirate copy and watching it in the (quiet) comfort of my own home ... I'll just sit a bit closer to the telly!"The most desirable trait of the internet is the ability to attribute quotes to anyone."

I hardly ever go now, way too expensive. If we do go, I take in our own cans of coke! I priced up those better seats for a film recently and it was £30 for 2!!
We saw Water for Elephants at Odeon in Brighton recently. We used 241 Orange Wednesdays, and it was still £9.xx as we paid the extra £1 for the slightly better seats, which is chargeable x 2.
I wait for DVD more often than not0 -
I stopped going to the cinema years ago. I either wait for the film to appear as a discount DVD or for it to appear on TV."Never underestimate the mindless force of a government bureaucracyseeking to expand its power, dominion and budget"Jay Stanley, American Civil Liberties Union.0

They are bit pricey, thats why i have an unlimited card as i only have to see 2 films a month and ive already got my moneys worth so the more films i see more value i get form it, i try to see 1 a week but it depends what films are out0

Way over the tipping point for me, I just don't go any more unless the OH persuades me (went to see Thor a few weeks ago, and that took some persuading... even though he was paying and it was an orange weds! :rotfl:)
I just object to the whole thing really0 -
I'm going to the cinema de lux in bristol soon, and according to the ticket it's £8
Thank god it's a work outing and therefore FREE!!! :money:Excuse any mis-spelt replies, there's probably a cat sat on the keyboard0
