Cinema tickets getting a bit pricey aren't they?

It's the elderly couples that spend the whole film telling each other what's happening on the screen that irritate me.0

I was on nightshift a few weeks back, so me and the gf decide to go to the cinema at lunchtime, on Wednesday so 2-4-1, me and her, another couple a few rows back, then two girls come in about 5 minutes into the film, sit the row behind us, and just wouldn't !!!!!! for the entire of the film, constantly annoying when people feel the need to have a running commentary with their mates about the film. It's really annoying, I'm just going to insult and throw vile offensive comments at the next people I encounter like this, got nothing to lose.0

I can't remember the last time I paid for a ticket at the cinema, it's just a total rip off now. I think it was about £8 each at the Printworks in Manchester. We only go to the cinema if we can get free ones via showfilmfirst or a site like that.

Cineworld do an unlimited card (http://www.cineworld.co.uk/unlimited) for £14.99 per month (you still pay £1.50 for 3D films, although I useally prefer the 2D versions anyway) which is pretty good if you go to the cinema loads each month. I always get my sweets for the Tescos down the street though.Cheltenham Dude

I'm still under contract for my Cineworld Unlimited card so it's £13.50 a month.
On average see 8/10 films a month so pay £1.35-£1.69 per film0 -
I totally agree with the "waiting until the DVD comes out" idea. It is very expensive to keep going cinema.
If you go to Odeon, you can buy the 3d glasses to take back in future so you don't have to keep buying them. My OH did that and funny thing is.. we have missplaced them lol.Competition Wins:

Get a printworks loyalty card and its only £6 a film. Or get a spinningfields yellow card and go to the AMC its only a fiver a film. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I LOVE going to the pics, but usually get the free previews from showfilmfirst and sky. I don't mind paying if we have to, though, but draw the line at the food prices (unless I'm feeling especially greedy lol). The days of going en famille of a weekend are over though - for 5 of us, it's too much. Orange Weds is good.
I'd rather watch certain films at the cinema than at home, though - POTC, and 3D ones, etc.******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0 -
You can get your own back on them a little bit though by paying for an ordinary seat and then sitting in the Premier seating, the one that pretty much nobody sits in. That'll teach 'em.0
