DOH all the time i was thinking how nice of her but also my return the difference has gone to pot.

i'm thinking self check out from now on, lol.

I can feel my printer reprinting an old voucher or 2 by mistake at this rate!, to compensate for the one they are withholding.

I thought i would give this one a go as the Finest range looked nice.

    Outcome:

Chicken with asparagus - 2 small piecs - Bland
    Potatoes in rosemary - Bland
    Cheesecake - not all that
Chardonnay - tasted like cheap wee.

Only thing that was at all nice about my dinner tonight was the Finest French beans I brought separately for 2 quid to accompany the meal,

I guess they only tasted good because I tossed them in butter and garlic, or I imagine they would have been as bland as the rest.

Not really worth the £4 - heaven know what people who paid £10.00 for it thought!!!

I had a ham hock pie today, was nice!
The potatoes werent bad, would eat again
Meatballs were ok, liked the sauce more than the meatballs itself :o
    Mash was rich.. was ok.
Loved the cheesecake :T (but not worth the £2.50 if bought separately i guess? more like £1.80?)
Dont really wanna have another tart, it was ok.

Yet to try the belgian pudding
Whats in the freezer and not tried?
The chicken n ham chicken thing /chicken and asparagus / the chicken and lemon pastries... but someone pointed out these had more pastry than filling.. so not looking forward to that! .
Thats it really.. i will report back when i've tried the rest... and update :j

P.S: not a wine drinker, gave it to my family instead

We had the potatoes in rosemary. We didn't think they were bland. They were lovely.

    On a totally unrelated issue . . . .

Tonight I was in and buying a few items, when putting the products on the belt I noticed that the jar of honey lid stated "use before (or by) Feb 2011" so I lifted it and put it aside deciding not to purchasr it.

How do things stand about stores selling out of date produce?

Having tried to keep up to date with this thread and while waiting on my meal deal vouchers, I'm thinking if they are gonna play silly !!!!!!s with us then maybe we should stop being reasonable with them.

If I had bought the Honey (which wasn't cheap) and then got home and noticed this - what redress would I have?
Who would I report it to and what could they have done?

Something similar to this happens quite often and I usually set the product aside and pick an alternative with a good date but it happens often enough, what if we were to raise this each time?

Be it Honey or Bread or Bacon or Eggs - maybe we should not just ignore it, are there any websites that gather this sort of info and act on it.

Nowt really to do with this thread but I thought I'd drop it in here for the more "learned" among you to consider.

Vouchers or no vouchers - I've decided against getting this deal again. I'm well stocked on wine and putting on weight. Whilst some of the food is nice it is really too salty for me and now it's just not appealing - I am quite sensitive to salt and try and consume as little as possible. I have about 3-4 mains in the freezer which I'll eat when I'm feeling lazy or in a hurry and that way when I do eat them they will be a welcome treat :)

Morning, I was on groupon last night and got the following error messages which is very similar to the emails you've been getting:
'no deals could be found for your selected city for today' (which is crazy!)
    Then...
'groupon is experiencing server trouble, please try again later'.
So it is possible that people's receipts can't be found due to problems with the server suggested earlier.
Still doesn't explain though why they can't fix it, display a message or brief their staff !
