What a load of arrogant self-righteous twaddle! Tesco never cease to amaze me.

I must try taking a bottle of whisky out of the store without paying, and then pass the following letter to the manager when I get nabbed:

    Thank you for apprehending me.

I was concerned to learn that you have experienced some problems whilst attempting to get paid for the bottle of liquor I took off your shelf. I appreciate why you would be unhappy and I apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Regrettably, whilst my system of paying at the till is as comprehensive as possible, there are some rare occasions where I am unable to find any money in my pocket. This is unfortunate and I am very sorry that you have been disappointed. However, I am sorry to say that if the money is not recoverable from my pocket, that I will be unable to pay you for the liquor in this instance.

I am sorry that you have not been able to get paid for your liquor. I will log your complaint and ensure that it is available for my friends to view as they enjoy quaffing the liquor with me this evening.

Thank you for bringing this matter to my attention.

Love it, nice to see you again taxiphil

I don't know that area at all, but according to the newspaper report someone quoted above, this new store was to replace a Metro that was to close the day before this one opened and most of the staff were transferring over.

It's a long shot, but the phone no. for the old store was: 0845 677 9759. Maybe that was transfered too? I rang it and got as far as the "press 1 for.." so it is still connected.

Thanks, another genius idea from us rather than Tesco!! Called and there was an option for directions so I chose that and guess what - cut off

I entered my receipt details on Saturday but still havent got an email. I re-entered my details online and got the message:

This receipt is already being processed, and you should receive your email soon so that you can view your results and see your shop compared to ASDA.

    Lets see what happens

I was there once couple of weeks ago(dtd times :p), it's just off the big crossing... just ask someone on the street when you're in the area(I did it as I couldn't find it as well) :)
