This'll make you laugh! I tried to find it the other day and couldn't (Sat Nav took me to the right road but there was no Tesco so I drove round a bit and didn't see it). I came home and google mapped it and tried again this afternoon, still no sign of it (not that I expected it to appear overnight, I just thought maybe I was looking in the wrong street)...anyway, couldn't find it again so called CS to get the store phone number (it's not listed on T.com) and they don't have it. The CS agent was extremely helpful, tried to find out as much as he could but admitted that he doesn't have any more information and the address on googlemaps appears to show derelict land.

I could easily go to another store but I ordered something from Tesco direct and it's been delivered to the store!!!

So, since I can't find it and Tesco can't find it I wondered if any of you knowledgeable people could find it!

Anyone help me find the missing Tesco?

I don't know that area at all, but according to the newspaper report someone quoted above, this new store was to replace a Metro that was to close the day before this one opened and most of the staff were transferring over.

It's a long shot, but the phone no. for the old store was: 0845 677 9759. Maybe that was transfered too? I rang it and got as far as the "press 1 for.." so it is still connected.

In that I have'nt submitted more than ten claims, and have not received £100+ of vouchers, or submitted a false/fraudulent claim, methinks Mr T might be on a sticky wicket.

I am sure its the server error at tesco's end, what would be good is if as many people as possible rang tesco all at the same time tomorrow if vouchers don't arrive :rotfl::rotfl:
    anybody up for it?

I emailed Tesco THREE DAYS AGO about Fridays reciept details and have just got a reply today

    "Thank you for your email.

I was concerned to learn that you have experienced some problems, whilst attempting to use our Price Check website. I appreciate why you would be unhappy and I apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Regrettably, whilst our system is as comprehensive as possible, there are some rare occasions where we are unable to find the receipt details. This is unfortunate and I am very sorry that you have been disappointed. However, I am sorry to say that if your receipt is not recoverable by our system, that we will be unable to conduct a comparison in this instance.

I am sorry that you have not been able to compare your receipts. I will log your complaint and ensure that it is available for the relevant departments to view.

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention."

What a load of arrogant self-righteous twaddle! Tesco never cease to amaze me.

I must try taking a bottle of whisky out of the store without paying, and then pass the following letter to the manager when I get nabbed:

    Thank you for apprehending me.

I was concerned to learn that you have experienced some problems whilst attempting to get paid for the bottle of liquor I took off your shelf. I appreciate why you would be unhappy and I apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Regrettably, whilst my system of paying at the till is as comprehensive as possible, there are some rare occasions where I am unable to find any money in my pocket. This is unfortunate and I am very sorry that you have been disappointed. However, I am sorry to say that if the money is not recoverable from my pocket, that I will be unable to pay you for the liquor in this instance.

I am sorry that you have not been able to get paid for your liquor. I will log your complaint and ensure that it is available for my friends to view as they enjoy quaffing the liquor with me this evening.

Thank you for bringing this matter to my attention.
