Who is "everyone"? If you were not a 3 customer - you would not be able to text using their texting service and getting the free delivery reports.
Anyway I give up - best of luck trying to get out of contracts!0 -
There is an interesting article here

Text delivery report is an optional/additional service which can be turned off. As such 3 can apply the following clause
"ii) relates solely to Additional Services; or"
To be determinental to you, the cost per month to you would have to increase significantly (10% or so I would imagine).
I don't see that at all. Even if you might only potentially use SMS reports some month in the future, taking away that opportunity from you is clearly detrimental.0 -

that sums up the contempt that THREE have for thier customers :T0 -
I've just had a very frustrating conversation with a guy from the executive office. He made his/their final position very clear that it was an Additional Service (becuase it is of cost to them?!?) and that it was not a Detremental change (because it's a small amount of money).
But the bit that really got me was he confirmed that even if I pursuaded him otherwise on these points of defintion there was nothing he could do, it was company policy (set by the legal department) not to accept to terminate people's accounts without cost based on this matter.
He also tried to tell me that the Ombudsman would not be interested ... I guess we'll see.0 -
I received my deadlock letter today, it reads...Please accept this letter as confirmation we're now in a position of deadlock about the change in delivery report pricing.
You can contact Ombudsman Services: Communications to escalate your concerns. Their telephone numbers are 0330 110 1614 or 01925 430049. They will be in a position to independently review your complaint if you make contact with them.
Even when asked to confirm all of the details, they refuse to put them in writing.0 -
Well somebody has claimed the ombudsman has agreed to take their case on,
thats going to cost Three a minimum of £350, my complaint went in the other
day, lets hope I get a reply, this could end up costing three a few quid if enough
people take it forward

Yes.. But the guy in that thread said he needed to put in a complaint with ofcom for some reason or another.
Three were playing silly !!!!!!s with my 'complaint' mainly due to somebody tweeting a link to a post I made earlier :rotfl: the guy I spoke to didnt like that much, he even mentioned my username and that quite a few copy cat emails had been sent.
Still didnt get a reply to my initial email, other than the short phone call that was pretty much a 'take a hike' kind of thing. so put in an initial complaint with otelo, forwarded it to three along with a request for a deadlock letter and my pac, neither of which were forthcoming..0 -

Its pretty much what I sent as the first email to three, which is near the top of this thread

Nothing too hard, just pointing out what has been brought up on here.
In my mind its a clear cut case, its just whether the guys at otelo interpret it in the same way...0
