    Hi everyone :hello:

((hugs)) to all and Happy Birthday to Miss Joanne (altho I expect you'll be in bed by now :D

Ok, I've given in. I've said the boys can decorate the tree tomorrow, so I will be constructing it tonight. However ...... major faux pas by me and Mr TM during the year :o We have 2 trees, one in the dining room and one in the living room. Last year I "upgraded" the back room tree and so we were left with one surplus, which I diligently free-cycled about 6 weeks ago. Went to get the trees out tonight ...... and the 2nd one isn't there  Seems, between us, we've got rid of BOTH 6ft trees. Lets face it, you can't hide them that easily :D Ah well, maybe I'll get lucky again in the week before xmas and get another fab tree for next to no money. It was about 15 years old anyway ;)

Other than that, have been and measured up a client's office for some more renovations, have bought some bits from Mr T, have managed a modicum of tidying, vacing and laundry today too. Tea was scampi, chips and veg, with lots of bread and butter and pots of tea. Have just put the boys to bed and will make a start on erecting the BIG tree in a bit (It must be a bit like pennineman's cat - I have .... or should I say had ... a BIG tree and a small tree :p Or maybe it's cos I live half way up Pendle Hill.....)

Anyway, I feel the need for a wee tincture, as it's Friday night. Maybe a small sherry ..... :rotfl:

Hope you are all having fun (yes, even you PP, the kitchen will get done, just have a good weekend hun) and hope the sickies out there get better.

    Evening

Kids in bed (and asleep), DH out, bath running - I am a happy Peem.

Made some lovely peanut butter and chocolate biscuits tonight when I got home from work. they've come out all lovely and soft and "cookieish" IYKWIM. I only had a tiny bite though. The kids seemed to like em. Even DH ate them and he doesn't normally like peanuts or peanut butter (with which they're made.)

right - just a quick hello to catch up on the thread.

    Tree day tomorrow.

Off to soak, then watch have "I got news for you" and "Jerusalem and Jam" and QI" , then it's bed. It's getting so near christmas I think I can break out "Winter Solstice" by Rosamunde Pilcher - its corny but I read it every year.

    take care

don't think I can post it cos it's straight out of a book (Bill Granger's Every Day book) but I'll PM it to you when I get a chance.

Probably won't be until monday - can you wait that long? Afraid this weekend is going to be manic!
