  • Shez, love your festive CF. Have you seen the trailers for his new prog on BBC? He's doing that smoludering, again, that he did so well on Love Actually. Can't wait.

Pooky, it's lovely! Worth all the upheaval?

    I've been Money Tipped!
    :santa2: Good Afternoon!

Just got in from town and hopefully have now got all my Christmas shopping done, although there is always something that I have forgotten! I have been inspired by the hampers thread on the Christmas board so bought 3 baskets from Wilkinsons and now have all the goodies to assemble them.

Got in the door and "The Book" was on the mat! :j Lots of you got a mention and one of my recipes was in it! Have spent the last half hour quickly looking through it, looks good and covers most things. Would make a good present for most people, something I could have done with years ago!

Anyway oh is out at Christmas dinner with w**k but hopefully will be able to go up in loft to retrieve more Christmas decs. In the meantime the decoration for day 8 is a red and gold christmas candle!

I managed to get some lovely eyelash wool in Wilkinsons 3 balls for £2.50 (83p a ball) in some lovely colours so must get knitting, nearly finished the first scarf.

(((Hugs))) to Penny watcher and all who need them.

Shez - I love the new avatar!

Happy Birthday to Joannas dd :bdaycake:

  • Hey everyone,

Feeling a bit chirpier and chipper today - long may it last! And 9 weeks pregnant tomorrow - whopppeee!

I'm planning to try and get sorted for Christmas this weekend - not much to buy - just a Secret Santa and and the OH's £5 present. I'm not seeing anyone else until a few days after Christmas so I'll try and get their presents in the sales. We're really skint just now and I'm so trying hard not to get caught up in the Christmas excitement but I do feel a bit flat. We've got some lovely decs though that I bought when being dafter with money, so I'll get those up and my Christmas cards written.

I hope you feel better soon Joannasmum and enjoy your special family day. How many weeks are you now?

    Have a lovely weekend everyone

    Valentine xxx

Smouldering, mainly, on the bits I've seen :D Can't remember what it's called, and no details on google or BBC website. When I see the trail again, I'll PM you.

Oh another birthday! Happy Birthay Joanna!! :T:T:T

Done some chores this morning - nothing major, just some small bits in preparation for Sunday when I want to do a good clearout.

Being good with food today: nothing heavy just fruits, vegs and some low fat cheese. I've had three company lunches this week and I have to control all these calories.

Oh I found some old socks that are not fit to be worn anymore, but instead of dumping them I'll wear them, slightly damp, on my hands and use them as dusters, doing the dusting in half the time... Well that's the idea anyway.

Have a good afternoon everyone! :j

    :)
Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.
  • Hi all,

Thanks for your good wishes. I feel much better now than I did last night but my stomach is still very tender so only toast so far and some liquids.

I have managed to do some washing and tidy up the kitchen a bit. Also got out some of the decs so living room is looking slightly more Christmassy. Hopefuly XDH will get the tree and stuff down from the loft tonight and I can get the rest up over the weekend (dodgy tum permitting).

Pooky Your living room looks stunning. Veryyyyyy posh.

Off for a quiet sit down with a glass of water.
