Morning Guys!
Not a good night here but feeling a tad better now:D
Busy day here today....not only is me new WM arriving, but BIL and his mate is here fitting the new worktops and putting in the new sink and tap that we bought off ebay about a year ago:eek:   ...theyve both been sitting in the garage....I cant wait!!! If it gets too noisey, I will have to go upstairs.
DD has been taken to school even though she's not feeling too good. Offered for her to stay at home but she said no...better go in. If she gets worse she will call for a pick up.
We've had 2 more invites for over the next week, so should be quite busy. Going to my sisters tomorrow, BIL/SIL (nice ones) Sunday Roast, DD taking us out Monday and nephew wants to treat us to an Indian which will probably be Wednesday...then DD off to Germany on Thursday.
Today my plans are to study and do some reading. House is pretty tidy but not alot I can do about the rest till builders go later. Looking forward to the WM so we dont have to keep trapsing round IL's house;)
Anyway, Id best go. I have no cooking facilities ATM.
Breakie: Toast & Jam
Lunch: Chicken coronation salad baguette (yes bought!)...yummy
Dinner: Pizza, Chips and salad
have a good one guys.

Morning everyone
Have a horrible sore throat and tickly cough. Spent half the night coughing and spluttering.....how attractive.
Today we are off to Dundee until Sunday. Got a bit of a bargain on a lovely hotel we have been to before. Hoping to do a bit of Crimbo shopping tomorrow then go to the pics. We can't decide between seeing James Bond or The Holiday but think it will be the latter as that is "festive" :xmastree:
Last night we booked tickets for the Edinburgh Tattoo. Very excited as have never been. Have to wait till August though
Not going away until about 3:30 this afternoon so before then I hope to get the bathroom all sparkly, do a menu plan and shopping list for the week we are away over Crimbo, pack for weekend and perhaps wrap some pressies.
Have a great Friday and fab weekend folks0 -
Morning everyone!
Only 9 posts as I type this so I'd best be quick.....
Queenie - talk of coincidences, I was thinking of you this morning and there you were, 1st poster! Glad you had a fab birthday - I remember that your lads made it really special last year too.
Kyle - glad to hear that your DS has found some new friends and support on the net.
Morning also to Chipps, mrs mix, taplady (don't forget to wave to me in Cardiff ;-) ), pen pen and Catowen
Hugs to you and your family Penny watcher
I'm going to try to stay logged off today as I've soooo much to do and I tend to get somewhat addicted to these forums...
But I had to come on here and tell you about my bread.
I stuck the ingredients in while tired last night, and while it smelt lush this morning when I took it out I discovered the craggiest loaf you ever did see.
HAving gone back over everything I did last night I've finally worked out my mistake - I was making a large loaf but only put in the water for a medium.
Luckily so far it tastes ok - just as well as it's all we've got for our brekkie (with poached egg)
Yikes!!! I'm running late.
Love to all,

Morning all
Not much for me today as we've bene busy back and forth to the hospital. Anyway plans for this weekend are a big clean through starting tonight when I get home from w**k and then putting the dec's up this weekend.
Oh, I'm going to do some baking as well (comfort food!)
Queenie - Good to see you I did notice you haven't been around much lately.
As always take or leave the :grouphug: as neededYou laugh because I'm different - I laugh because you're all the same0 -
Hi all :santa2: haven't been around much lately although I try and read the boards most nights, work is SUCH a pain and stops me enjoying myself :rotfl:
Queenie I was also thinking of you last night, didn't realise it was your birthday, glad you had a lovely day.
I'm having a quiet day here today as it's my 'day off' - got gingerbread and mince pies made on Wednesday so am well on the way to being prepared food-wise thank goodness. Going to do some cleaning and have all the towels to wash so won't exactly be sitting around doing nothing but at least I won't have to go out, looks miserable out there.
Am worrying about DD22 who had a bit of an argument with a cyclist last night, I'm sure she'll be OK but she's so far away, I can't get to herI can't wait until next weekend when both of the offspring will be home for Christmas and I can have my family round me again.
Breakfast: Probably grilled tomatoes and mushrooms on toast
Lunch: Soup and a salad sandwich
Dinner: Probably salmon fillet and roast veggies.
Hugs to everyone who needs them
Love

Morning everyone
I'm feeling totally miserable today.Had the weirdest experience last night. XDH was coming to take the decs and tree out of the loft for me. So, just before he arrived I thought "I'll just nip to the loo before he gets here". Within three minutes, my hands, feet and face were burning up, even the whites of my eyes were blood-red. I had sickness (at both ends IFYSWIM) and terrible sweats. This all came out of nowhere! I felt so bad that I seriously considered phoning an ambulance. So, after a night of continual visits to the bathroom, no sleep and no drinks (couldn't stand up long enough to pour a glass of water and drink it) I am still weak as a kitten. No w**k for me today.
I have read everybody's posts but honestly can't remember anything in any detail. (((hugs))) to those who need them. Congrats to anyone with something to celebrate and "have a great time" to those doing something special this weekend.
