I understand that. But maybe the way to 'reclaim' it, and to be able to have reasonable discussion about it, is to actually 'speak freely' about it in the first place. If that makes any sense?

There are some people who will never be able to let others discuss it reasonably though.
There's a Marie Stopes clinic near me, they have to warn ladies who have gone in for an abortion to be careful when they leave as protesters turn up regularly and hurl abuse, and paint, at them when they go home. The doctors and nurses who work there have been followed home and had their cars and homes vandalised and familes threated All by these so-called caring people.
