Well things have not been going to plan at all. Earthlet got a temp so had to be taken to doctors before nursery would allow him back the next day, so although we all ate, nothing else got done really and no marking done.
The doc said earthlet just had a cold and nursery were flapping about nothing.
Earthlet then had an ok day at nursery, BUT yesterday evening, he got so congested with his little cold, he stopped breathing and went floppy. OH revived him but it was a night in hospital for us. He is ok now, just really under the weather with this cold, and I have to keep a close eye on him in case he does it again. When his stats dropped in the night, he managed to revive himself before I heard the alarm and jumped up, so thats encouraging, as it means he will hopefully wake himself in future.
I was really distressed to see other babies there all evening, night and morning with no mums. One baby cried and screamed all night. Something dreadful must have happened to their parents as there is no way earthlet would be left like that.
OH was very unsupportive and unhelpful.Despite me warning him when I left at 7.30 for the hospital that I might need him, he had another drink so he had to wait to sober up before bringing anything to hospital for our overnight stay, forgetting to call my work on time to let them know I wasn't in... basically I just felt like I was at the bottom of his priority list. He is going away to a stag weekend on Friday as well - great timing!
So today I am feeling a little glum (had no sleep, still have a stinky cold, and had to take the day off work so I won't get paid, plus I haven't done any cleaning, ironing or laundry for a while, not to mention the stack of marking I have to do). But I have to look at the positives, the baby is ok, and the time off work allows me to catch up on things I REALLY NEED to do.
So my to do list in order of importance-
1.Feed everybody
2.get the job application in - must be sent today or tomorrow.Done just need to post - will do that tomorrow as I can't face going out yet.
3. Tidy and surface clean, hoover, put laundry away - 1 hour tops
4. Try to muster up the enthusiasm to be civil to oh.
5. do some marking. 256 papers, 20 fully marked, 50 half marked. 18 days remaining, that leaves about 12 papers to mark per day, plus I have to enter them onto the system.15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j

Good luck, and keep going, earthgirl.
It sometimes feels impossible to get things done with kids around, especially when they're under the weather. I especially hate putting laundry away - quite happy to wash and fold it, but then it sits in piles looking at me.

Thanks Dragonrider, when you are buried in chores and work, and your OHs on the blink, you can always get encouragement and cheer from a nice poster on here. THANKS:j15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j

Oh no Earthy! What a really dreadful 24hrs. I am so glad that earthlet is okay now but you must have been so frightened. I understand totally what you mean about seeing other children crying and not being looked after the way we'd look after ours, I found that too when we had our trip to casualty last week.
As for OH, who knows. They can be a very strange breed at times

Hugs, lovie. Had similar with DD2 when she was 1 and it really terrified me. Get well soon earthlet and hope OH gets with the programme. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0

Completely different thing but one of the most lovely kids ever randomly had a fit (no priors) in my lesson yesterday which was really scary. I was so worried about her (although didn't act it because I made the others keep working and didn't fuss or flap) - I can't imagine what it must be like when something happens to your baby. I panic when the bloomin' dog yelps.
You know I'm a MASSIVE fan of yours - you are a teaching/life idol. You need to stop being so hard on yourself. Life gets in the way sometimes, but your right...Earthlet being well is the main priority!

I have met my laundry twin :rotfl: although, I leave them in piles until I need to root through them to find clean pants, and they end up not in so neat piles over the floor
eg - so sorry to hear about ds, it happened to dd once too when she had a temperature. And  to the oh, as courgette says they are not only a different breed but a different species sometimes. He is probably finding it really stressful too, hence the need for a drink.
you are doing amazingly, after all this marking and the stag do I hope you take a bit of time for yourself, you deserve it.Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89

You have had a tough time of it this week haven't you. Is he doing any better tonight? Poor little mite. You must be shattered hon. Don't kill yourself. Do the necessary, then have some sleep and you time, as you sound like you need it with that list. Take care x0

Just wanted to say how awful for you. We had a couple of scary incidents and it is utterly awful. My experience of hospitals was that parents did leave quite small children in some cases. One of us always stayed for our DS. There was one little girl and her parents just didn't show up until lunchtime, well after the docs had been around, she was lonely and cried when they left. It was heartbreaking.....
Glad he is ok. I know that this sounds odd but you can buy something that literally sucks the snot out of their little noses. You attach it, I kid you not, to the vaccum cleaner.... That said, it worked. My DD sounds like earthlet, she was a very phlegmy baby and it made her sick and we ended up in hospital one day when she was struggling for breath. I got it from ebay and it did work. Truly yucky but it did work!
I will leave you with the visual!
