I can't remember how old DD was, i think I just made sure she was getting 20oz a day until she was 1. It's funny how quick you forget the things you think you will remember.

    Hi earthgirl,

I've got two little ones, and it's horrible when they're sick. They're so miserable, and you just can't explain to them that they will feel better soon!
I hope earthlet (I love that name!) is feeling better, and that you are recovering from the ILs.

Thanks! I am quite lucky, even when he is ill he is always smiling and laughing. He claps his hands after he has finished drenching me in sick which is quite inappropriate I feel!!!

Anyway, back to topic, I have 3 and a half hours of tuition and I'd liketo mark 20 papers (the mechanical part and the essays). Our local has also re opened, and we are going there for tea yummy!

    2 / 20 marked so far :(

Not really, but I am getting to play with Earthlet lots today as I have no tutoring.

Our new local is nice but very pricey £70 spent on our meal and drinks last night :( we don't go out too much though , and oh paid , so I am not too bothered. It good to have a local to support!

I have been playing loads with earthlet, and in his nap I managed to mark quite a bit. I was aiming for 40 for the weekend, so far I've done 25, so only 15 to go!

Edit: 34 done, 6 to go!

I needed a break though, and I've looked at some more houses for sale.... I can't believe what you can get for £500,000 these days, I am so motivated to get saving now!

I am doing a chicken meal tonight, and cooking extra to make into baby food. I also need to make a cake for lunches for the week, and I might brave the weather to pick some rhubarb and make a crumble. Firstly though, those last 6 papers!

Well done on all that marking. I bet you've seen some gorgeous properties and in a few years one of them will be yours!

Thanks! The house quite near to me on the lane is on the market, and I'd had a little day dream about living there one day. I'd never seen it advertised anywhere, I was obviously looking in the wrong place cause sure enough its there.. offers around £1.3 million!!! Err perhaps somewhere a little less expensive will do!

Well I marked the full 40 over the weekend, and 10 more today as well. Unfortunately I have to report ANOTHER cold for earthlet and me, I think we both get them and then just swap them back and forth! Anyway not much sleep had by anyone last night in the earthgirl household.

On my list of things to do to get me to my dream house, I said I was going to go for promotion. The ones that came up in school weren't really suitable, as they were poorly paid for the amount of work. A colleague showed me a job advert for a head of department in another school, and I though I might go for it. Anyway I sounded the head out about notice periods today and he did not look happy with me at all. I am now worried that this will not do my job security any good as he could try to reduce my department in the future, and he might look upon me as disloyal :(

Anyway, I have done my tutoring tonight so £30 for the pot. I need to check some more papers and get my samples ready to send. I also need to get my cash ready to bank and get earthlet and me ready for school and nursery. Oh and cook and tidy up too... off I go!

It's really tru that once you go above around £250k (around me anyway) the size and quality of house massively increases!

Well done with all the marking :T

Apply for the head of department job hun and try not to worry about what de boss thinks, you would have needed to know about notice periods sometime.

Arggh, I needed to do loads of planning today, which is done, but now I'm dramatically behind with marking, so I need to do 10 reading papers and 10 full papers with essays before the close of play to stay on track.. can I do it??

I also need to do a tutoring, and cook tea and tidy up, and get ready for tomorrow. I might be quite late going to bed tonight!
