our banker was the prelim rounds of the handball...... but no signs yet...

We applied for some fairly niche events (sabre fencing, rhythm gymnastics) so maybe that will help our odds.

I believe rhythm gymnastics was over subscribed. Nothing here yet for DH or myself. It's due to go on a Nationwide credit card and I've no idea how long transactions usually take with them.

Just checked Nationwide account and some money's been taken. Looks like we might have 6 x water polo tickets. That's one event out of 6 applied for. We were planning on a 3-day trip down but if that's all we get then it will be a day trip! Disappointing not to get more, especially since we went for basketball and hockey, both of which were mentioned in the latest email from LOC as being available in 'second chance' round of sales - I suppose these will be the more expensive ones.

Apparently only 5 sports have sold out completely - track cycling; triathlon; modern pentathlon; equestrian (cross country) and rythmic gym plus the opening and closing ceremonies. http://www.pentathlon.org/media-centre/latest-news/item/818-olympic-modern-pentathlon-tickets-sold-out

I do wonder if some people have maybe mixed the two gym types up! I didn't get any tickets (have given up hope now) but hopefully I will get a few tickets in the second chance.

Sounds logical on the face of it but probably these events will be held in smaller venues with smaller numbers of seats. :(

I went for Handball too as a "banker" but many other people seem to have done the same and it is a very popular sport in places like Germany so who knows.

They have finally raided my account and taken £196 out of maximum of around £500. I'm fairly satisfied with that as it's a better ratio than some people.

So it looks like I have 4 or 5 sessions of something. I just hope that they are within 2 or 3 days of each other and that there is at least one inside the Olympic stadium itself.

Typical, I went for the questrian cross country. Nothing's come out of my account yet. They could have held this elsewhere.. badminton, burghly, branham and had more tickets available.

I'm really disappointed (especially as my council tax has gone up to pay it). Some people are getting tickets for multiple events and I've not got one! They should have allowed people to have applied for a limited number and in preference order. that way, you;d have more chance of actually getting to see what you really wanted i.e all the 1st preferences for a given sport are allocated tickets first. But I'm sure that would have been just too complicated for them!

I'll just have to watch on the telly.:(
