Olympic tickets

I'm delighted to get tickets for the Olympic Games, it's for the Artistic Gymnastics on Thursday 2nd August:j:
Women's Individual All-Around Final
Women's Individual All-Around Victory Ceremony
How do I know which event? It's because the ticket prices were different for each of the events I applied for. I'm keeping fingers and toes crossed that I get some of the others I applied for.
Good luck everyone.

I've had £189 out of £5,740 maximum cost as a pending transaction on my card. I assumed that meant I hadn't got much of what I applied for, but your post suggests they will be taking amounts for different events at different times and I may still have more to come - is that the case does anyone know?0 -
I believe that it is one transaction per application not per event. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0

I feared that may be the case!0 -
Ooooh I'm jealous! I applied for that but didn't get it.
Me too. Quite relieved now, might have caused a family uprising to get that and nothing else! Pending amount suggests we've got tickets for one session (out of 14 applied for) but impossible to tell which. Good luck to everyone still waiting to be debited.:T:j :TMFiT-T2 No.120|Challenge started 12.12.09|MFD 12.12.12 :j:T:j0 -
I've had some money taken too.
Are they charging a fee? the amount pending does not match any ticket prices...0 -
OMG Hi all I was not expecting to get charged so much. My application was for around 2000 gbp and I got charged as of now 1500 gbp, I did it with 2 credit cards I hope that I ll not get any charges with the other one otherwise I ll be in troubles,... the strange thing is that I have applyed only for final & semifinal games....0

There was a £6 charge for postage. Have you subtracted that?
I am eagerly awaiting my other half's return from work so he can check his credit card. He must be sick of me asking him to check it by now.
We didn't apply for much, so I'm a little worried that we won't get any. Luck of the draw anyhow!0 -
Still nothing from mine

Hoping they're doing it in the order people finalised their applications. Having changed my mind several times I ended up fiddling with it on the last day! Perhaps thats just wishful thinking :rotfl:Looking for the perfect home and saving to make becoming a MFW easier

OK, that makes sense.
My OH is going to be so disappointed, we applied for £1 to 1.4k and we got... £40 for 2 tickets...
But well done to those who were luckier!

Nothing here yet either
At least I know of one person thats got something now through:)
Just found this in a list of Q&As online from Locog
Does this mean that those are the only tickets I will get at the Olympic Games?
No. If you have applied through the public ballot, you could have numerous debits from your accounts between now and June 10. This is because tickets from people unable to pay will be put back into the ballot and the next person on the reserve list will then have the cash debited.
If you are unsuccessful in securing any tickets in this round of sales Locog will offer all unsold tickets via a direct sale in early July for a period of about a fortnight.
Locog will then release all unsold tickets available to the general public for direct sale later in the year.
There are also tickets on direct sale through ticket package operators. These packages are more expensive because they contain hospitality and or accommodation components as well. Contact Thomas Cook, Prestige Ticketing or Jet Set Sports.
So I guess some may get more but I'm guessing there won't be loads of tickets got in this wayDebt free and busy treating myself:)
No more toiletries/make up until I've used what I've got stashed since Jan 2011, graduated October 2012. Restocked Dec 13..damn those sales0
