    Buy direct.

I have a friend who lives abroad and according to their official site there are still tickets available for the the top events.

Hmmm get my mate to buy for me and send across to me, none of this lottery nonsense.

as soon as everyone found out, the sites crashed!

i am very annoyed that despite contributing to this in the form of council tax, i have to go into a lottery, but the rest of europe can pick the tickets they want?!? how on earth is that fair?!

the article does say that 60% of applicants will have their accounts debited by wednesday, so hopefully not much longer to wait.

Nope not that website, i will have to get them sent to his home abroad. As only people from a range of countries can apply for them. It's way outside of the EU.
I all have learnt is from others on many sites.
    Seek legal help if unsure.
Dont pay Private Parking tickets - they are mere invoices.

    PRESS THANKS

i got a email last night, so exciting.

Thank you for applying for London 2012 Olympic tickets. As you will be aware, we have started to allocate tickets and are now taking payment from Visa credit and debit cards, as well as banking cheques and postal orders.

The vast majority of payments will be taken by next week (31 May), with the entire process completed by 10 June.

We will contact you before 24 June to let you know if you have been successful and, if so, which tickets you have been allocated.
life is like a loo roll. the nearer the end you get, the faster it goes.

I got the same email too! At least for the people who fear they have not enough money in their account right at the end of the month then least they will be contacted if the initital request for funds fail. :D

I am still waiting for my funds to be taken......

Had my account debited.Only managed to get tickets for two football matches.i had applied for 8 other events.i little disappointed

Looks like the best way to get tickets is by winning them, already got two tickets for the Number One Court at Wimbledon, doing it this way

    I've been Money Tipped!
    Hi, Still nothing for me!
  • Nothing from me either although looking at other forums plenty of people have. General concensus so far is that people are getting between 8-25%, although often for things such as football etc. Average so far seems to be between 10-15%.

Applied for Modern Pentathlon, Shooting, Equestrian, Athletics, Opening & Closing Ceremony. Looking likely that I'm going to get zip!

I'm not massively bothered, although would have liked Athletics, O&C Ceremonies but knew they would be a long shot. I'll be happy watching the cycling time trial and then wait for the paralympic tickets. Not sure I'll bother with the second chance tickets.
