What a stupid system! I was up and on the website by 6.01 this morning, chose my tickets, straight through to 'processing payment' page.... then nothing. Crashed after about 5mins. So started again and after another couple of frustrating minutes of crashing and refreshing managed to get to the payment page again. Was waiting for it to crash again when I got an email saying my application was successful?! Don't understand how as I never got to the end of the process - put my card details in but didn't get to verified by visa page. That was pretty much my experience at 6:00 as well, but things were much smoother when I went back at 11:00. :cool:0 -
I got to the Verified By Visa screen after many attempts, then it messed up
It now shows my application in my account but I'm worried that the payment might fail when they try to take it (as they seem unable to tell you at the time, one reason why some tickets weren't sold last time)
They should contact you if there's a problem with the payment, before giving the tickets away. That's what they did in the first round anyway.
I wasn't originally going to bother getting up for the 6am rush, but woke up at 5:30 anyway, so thought I might as well try! Got confirmation of the application at 6:22 so hopefully will get something.
Bit annoyed at the news today that it turns out you can sell to friends & family after all. I'd have bid for more in the first place if they had said that originally.0 -

They're just charging the amount they think will get a decent number of tickets sold. It would be worse for the athletes if they charged the same as for the regular olympics and then no one bothered going!0 -
Got 'confirmation' of tickets in second round but then realised that the credit card I had stored has been cancelled. Called 2012 and they said they weren't sure if they would contact people whose card was declined. They said that there was an opportunity to enter different card details during the 'second chance' application but in the heat of the chase for tickets yesterday I didn't bother checking the card number stored. Anyone know anything definite about their policy on declined cards in the second chance phase?0

Why would no-one bother going? Serious question? Why is it not as important as the 'regular' olympics? I think the Para Olympics far more inspiring, people that have overcome their disabilities to be the best at their sport.
Maybe I've a better chance of getting tickets then if no-one is going to bother going for them - but I'd far rather go to the PA then the 'regular' olympics myself.
I thought they got a crappy deal on TV as well,being shoved onto BBC2 rather than BBC1 like 'regular' olympics.0 -

I'm not saying it should be less important, but that's just how it is. They have to be realistic with the pricing.0 -
Anyone heard yet if they have been successful in the 2nd round. Keep checking my emails all the time but nothing so far. My 3 boys just keeping their fingers crossed, they keep asking me every 10 minutes!0

I got my application for a set of athletics tickets submitted, and confirmation email about 0620. I was thinking I stood a reasonable chance, but as lots of other seemed to get through about 0615 maybe I will miss out again

Wish they would hurry up and tell us.0
