Congrats - that's certainly a pretty awesome ratio compared to a lot of other people :D

Nowt for me. 8 events £850 over qualifying rounds of 7 differnet sports & opening ceremony
    I'm disappointed.
I would've loved to have taken my boys to a home Olympics

Nothing showing on my card. Had applied for 2 of each for Eventing, Boxing and a early athletics day. I think the system should have been better so that if you applied for say 5 events you were guranteed one of them. Oh well at least I have the two weeks off allready and I wont have to work in London with all the chaos.

My card was stolen after the application so I have an email saying to ring them by the 6th June with my new card details, doesn't say whether I have tickets or not. Fingers crossed, I'll be happy with any.

 However, I have been trying to ring for 2 days now. Everytime I have to listen to a 1 1/2 minute recorded message followed by-
'I apologise but all of our agents are busy at the moment, please try again later. Please remember that you must provide us with your card details by 5pm on June 6th, otherwise your application will be cancelled.' I'm trying to give them my new card details!!!

Have they never heard of a call holding system.
    Debt at 1/5/09 £21,996 _pale_
Current debt- 0 :j Final payment made October 2012. :D

We have been lucky to get some tickets but i am not sure what they are for yet. To be honest i dont care as we only applied for ones we really wanted to see. As with most things in this country, they always take longer than they say, so dont give up hope yet.

I've been having the same problem, a call holding system would be very useful here!

Also I've not got a BT landline so have been using Skype or my mobile to make the calls, so far listening to the 1 minute long message just to be told all the operators are busy has cost me over £5!

Sorry, not read through thread but I applied for 19 different sessions at £4,200 and got absolutely nothing.

    Is this a record?

They were mostly the popular events - I planned to fill in with less popular events when I knew what I'd got!! Surprised tue morning badminton sold out - esp as was willing to take up to band C price range.

Looks like it will be TV for me.

Nothing for me, although I only applied for one event, the rowing final in the mid to low price category so I can't be too surprised but I couldn't afford to apply for any more.

At least I've still got the possibility of being a volunteer I guess.

I had my card stolen last week and as I cancelled it horror came over me that it was the card used for the Olympic tickets. I phoned a few days ago and got straight through to an operator to say all the systems were now locked down but if I had been successful in my application then I would be contacted and asked to provide alternative payments details. Have heard nothing, I'm absolutely gutted- have been an avid fan of the Olympics all my life- I am even currently doing an PhD in Olympic history! We applied for the prelim rounds of everything - swimming and gym ( which I can appreciate is oversubscribed) but we also applied for hockey, football and women's handball, all things which are apparently going to be available in the resale! You can't seriously tell me they are all sold out?!

Terrible system awards people who are willing to take the risk with their money- something, as a student I don't have the luxury to do! When I read about the guy being awarded £11,000 worth of tickets it made my blood boil. No one person needs that many tickets- the system is un-fair. So much for inspiring the youth of tomorrow LOCOG...hang your head in shame.
