received a letter from hsbc today, they are demanding the full amount (£1024) within 14 days of the date of the letter (21st!) unless i propose a satisfactory payment plan. i sent off letters to all my creditors on the 20th... not sure if i should ring them to make sure they've received my letter now? also received letters from kensington about our 2 smile overdrafts and my loan, saying they'd accepted our offers of payment. do you think smile will accept my new offers that i've sent myself, rather than through kensington?

another problem we now if is that hubby's just been taken on from temp to perm in his job which is great obviously. buuutttt this means he's going from weekly to monthly pay so 2 months without pay!! i know there's not much we can do about this but just thought i'd write it down and get it off my chest.

Hi Doodah, are you still planning on doing a DMP on your own or have you tried CCCS? I'm asking because I'd imagine that they'd be able to give you some advice re having to wait 2 months for hubbies pay.
I don't have anything more helpfull to suggest I'm afraid, but your thread should now be back on the first page so hopefully someone with abit more knowledge will spot it ;)

i had a phonecall from virgin (mbna) today to say they can't put me on a payment plan, as i offered them more than my minimum payment is anyway (doh!) they said my miniumum payment is around £30, which works out at about 1.5% of the balance which isn't what it says in my contract... strange. anyway, they want me to pay £78 in january, then £65 in february to clear my arrears, they've stopped any late payment or overlimit charges until i pay off my arrears. does this sound reasonable?
