  • Oh dear... it may seem scary - but I would phone up each company and explai you have been stuffed up by Kensington (e.g. you have done what they asked, but they have not delivered) and see what they can do to reverse the late payment charges, and then you set up the DDs again to collect the payments etc.

If HSBC have knocked Kensington back - it may be that others will too and you will be worse off.

WHilst it may be tight - please try to pay at least the min payments on the balance, cut up the cards etc to stop you spending on them - and don;t take out any new ones!

    Good luck

If you are with a good dmp they will have told you what to say to creditor if they ring and never to pay anything other that through the dmp itself.
Since i have joined a dmp i havent spoken to one creditor simple told them the dm company im with and gave them my ref no and hung up.
The phone calls soon stop and they begin to deal with the debt managment people.
Same with letter court orders i just post them on in freepost envolopes provided by the dmp and they deal with it for me and phone up to let me know what is happening.

I am with Baines & Ernst, but will be changing over to payplan or cccs after xmas, as the company im with do charge me, but they are in the middle of renegosiating new payments for the next 6 months with the creditors and so far all have agreed, so am am waiting until then as 2 of my debts are paid of with the next payment:D , and will then swop knowing the creditors will agree to payments with new company as they will be getting more than they have already agreed to.;)

i'm thinking i can use the money that i'm saving to make the payment to kensington to pay my creditors directly. i think i can make all the minimum payments except my loan...

i'm definitely not going to spend any more on my cards, even if i tried i wouldn't be able to as i've missed payments. same goes for taking out new ones, i don't want to but even if i did there's no way i'd get credit! in a moment of sillyness a few months back i applied for an aqua card, think it was 50% interest or something and they knocked me back

just about to write all my letters to creditors with offers of payment. do you think they'd accept if i said it would only be for 6 months or so until i've sorted myself out?

just wanted to say hope all goes well, we thought about writing to our creditors to offer reduced payments for a while until we got back to normal, i start work next month, so then was advised not too.

Please can you tell me where you got the "spreadsheet" from and if it worked out your pro rata payments. I am getting in a mess trying to sort my creditors out and not sure what to pay to whom.
