I was wondering about that too, isn't it an offence to drive a vehicle with a defect like that ?

No, none that I can think of.

Areas of white diagonal stripes or chevrons painted on the road. These are to separate traffic lanes or to protect traffic turning right.
    • if the area is bordered by a broken white line, you should not enter the area unless it is necessary and you can see that it is safe to do so
So at 1:14 of this clip http://www.youtube.com/user/Strider9655#p/u/19/7cuecU3Mqno was it necessary for you to enter them, apart from your own anger and road rage?

I know this stretch of road well.

30years ago it used to be a quick road when traffic was lighter, used to frequent pub on the left.

16 years ago I used to trail up and down it on the daily commute, traffic was much heavier and there was no point in risking it unless there was little or no traffic, you just wait behind the next one.

I have used it several times since I moved up North, trying to bypass the the M6/M5 morning evening log jam, happy to do 40 rather than nothing for 90mins.

Traffic is now much heavier and a lot of road junctions have been remapped with chicanes and lines. I don't much like highway planners but I agree with them on this one it is a high risk stretch of road. Further south they have even blocked of swathes of dual carriage because of right turns and tight bends not quite so sure about that stretch though.

I had some sympathy when I read the original post. it is now totally gone.

The best driver drive defensively IMHO.

Other than for being a fist, why was it?

    .

Wasn't looking for sympathy, I was trying to encourage people to stand up against these fools, but unfortunately it turned into a sausage party with a certain group of people massaging each others epeen's.... Yet again.

I didn't even post a video and suddenly its turned into a mud slinging match by one or two self-righteous individuals.
It comes to something when you can't even start a genuine thread aimed at increasing safety on our roads without it being hijacked and turned into a personal attack.

Has anyone else noticed how this ALWAYS happens when someone with an opinion tries to start a thread?

I think the problem is it's always your opinion that every else is to blame, when you're a nightmare on the road.
I like the new one with the poor bloke in the mini though. Not only do you see him, you actually speed up to tailgate him, and weave all over the back of him, as he merges in from the slip road.
You going to get someone stop and lay you out one day.

It seems silly that on the one hand you're mentioning road safety, yet on t'other hand you're own driving is horrendous in most of your clips on YouTube.

You F and blind at one person in one of your clips. In another clip you post a comment something alon the lines of "I've had to remove the sound from thuis as my language was terrible..."

I'm sorry, but the way I've seen and heard you drive, I wouldnt be surprised if you got lamped by someone. And rightly so!

I share the same hatred with the OP in the lorry clip, but I wouldn't cut one up like Strider did. Especially if I was in the wrong lane to start with...
