To warn the other driver of my presence..... The same reason I assume the van behind me sounded his horn at the same time!“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

I can understand where Strider590 is coming from in his iriginal post, but really, there was no need for the agressive accelerating and fowl language. Regardless of the 206 being in the wrong...

and another...

interesting how you went on the shevrons at 1:04 in this clip to overtake and then at 1:08 you chop in front of him. And then at 1:12 look at how much the car rolls. I assume you were chop sawing at the steering wheel with anger...0 -
In this clip:

you complain at 0:40 that the Yaris is only doing 25 in a 30 zone, which yes, is annoying. but if you flick back to 0:32 it looks like a school sign on the side of the road, so maybe they were slowing for that?0 -
And yet again overtaking on shevrons at 1:14

you complain about him pointing at the shevrons and wondering onto them, but if everyone watches this clip with the sound on, then 1:39 is nice - you can hear Striders car hitting the cats eyes on the shevrons LOL!0 -
If you've had a problem with first gear, wouldn't you fix it first before driving around blaming everyone else for your poor road skills? Just a thought.0

I have to agree with you on this. The car behind should have kept his distance..not heard of the two second rule then??;)0 -

Hehehe yeah I know what one smells like, have done a lot of drag racing and even had to pull off in 5th gear on the road before when a gearbox decided to stick in that gear.
Fair enough it was clear behind you but sometimes its better to just let someone go rather than risk a collision/hassle, even if its your right of way. There's enough posts on here and from yourself about what happens to your policyan from claims whether your fault or not.
If the guy has already blocked the lane as you approached then you shouldn' really need to go to 1st gear if you'd slowed appropriately.0 -

Im not sure what you mean by "chop sawing"? it's called G-force.... the cars weight was on the right hand side on overtaking, at the island it shifted to the left, I crossed the island at the speed limit and no I did not cut in front of the truck, that would make me no better than that !!!!!!.harveybobbles wrote: »And yet again overtaking on shevrons at 1:14

Dude.... What is it with you and chevrons? it's not illegal to overtake on chevrons which are surrounded by broken white lines, i NEVER cross chevrons with solid white lines.
Wind your neck in please.
It seems to me we have the usual sausage party going on in here, the thread has gone totally off track.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

The wonderful thing about your two second rule is the distance shortens as you slow down, see video for example.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”
