I thought i'd share something which occurred yesterday, I was driving home and came across a van trying to pull out of a side road, he'd pulled half way over and was blocking the one lane.
Two things to remember:
1) I'm under no obligation to stop (and besides there's no traffic behind me).
2) I have some issues with my gear linkage at the moment, which makes selecting first gear VERY difficult, in fact i've accidentally found reverse a few times. (Im planning to fix this myself this weekend)
So, I didn't stop to let this guy out, he pulls out behind me and then at the next set of traffic lights (not far away) he winds down his window and shouts "you f**king w**ker" followed by the appropriate hand gesture.
All this from a guy in a white van covered in company logo's less than 300 yrds from his works building (this guy really is "special").
As soon as I get home I call his company and make a complaint, they give me the "we'll log a complaint but it's your word against his" and it was very clear that nothing would be done...... UNTIL I mentioned they could watch their employee behaving like a d*ck on Youtube, at which point their tone changed dramatically :rotfl:
So in the interest of road safety and removing such behaviour from our roads, if you experience seriously poor driving from commercial vehicle drivers MAKE A COMPLAINT!! and if they don't listen, mention video's and mention Youtube!
With modern technology we can make sure that the days of the classic "white van man" are VERY numbered!!

Always handy to have a camera on board for this reason.
As a rule, I never let vans or taxi's out.0 -

And before any taxi drivers come on complaining about attitude/livelihoods etc, I've been fleeced more than once by black cabs up here in Edinburgh. Ultimately my fault as I had had one or two hard lemonades but the last time my mate paid the cab up front but the driver still took money of me at the far end!
Lesson learned, eventually.0 -

I have my share of run in's with Taxi's, but I couldn't really generalise enough to say they're all bad and that despite one actually reversing into me and trying to accuse me of hitting him.
Van's have been the bane of my life ever since going from my 306 to the Vectra. The difference in attitude was like black and white, I have no idea why.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Because just like how 99% of white vans are thought to be driven by complete !!!!s, the same is also true for Vauxhall Vectras.
Anyway, lets see the video then.0 -
No can do, I told them (after they practically begged) that I wouldn't make it public, UNLESS I see one of their drivers driving about like a complete !!!!!! again (and I pass their buildings every single day). As long as the video is private, they have an incentive to avoid damaging their reputation and im more about solving problems than making people look stupid.
Im kind of imagining all their drivers getting a good talking to, a "kurb your behaviour or else" speech. Which is fine by me, i've seen their drivers before and they really do need "educating", especially considering the estimated volatile nature of their cargo.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

You've got to be a complete !!!! to drive like an !!!! and have a liveried van/lorry. Especially as I'll make some fake orders and appointments. I remember being cut up by a van owned by a Cattery - I was on the phone to them as a Chinese takeaway asking where my next order was.The man without a signature.0

^^ I remember some years back on the way to Mallory park with mates, some guy in a van was being a d*ck on the M42, one of us phoned his company.... 60 seconds later he slowed right down and we never saw him again“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Or you could have just driven defensively and let him out, obligation or not.0
