No it does help - I don't think she was in much pain thankfully but she was very tired and it got so breathing and moving was a real effort for her. When the vet put her to sleep he felt it was the right time and so did I. But you are right - they are part of the family and it is hard to see them go.

    Hi Mizmir,

Sorry to hear about your dog. I totally sympathize with you on the paperwork front. And the longer I leave doing it the harder and more impossible it seems to get!

I've just finished (I think and sincerely hope) my tax stuff and I've dallied and put it off for so long it's quite ridiculous!! Every year I tell myself that I'll start as soon as the tax year starts or even ends and every year..........I don't.

That is so me! And ironically it would be much easier to do earlier when all the stuff was to hand. Now I have to sort out last year's stuff from this year's, find that P60, try to remember where I saved last year's spreadsheets and submit my return - and only 20 days left to do it!
    Thanks for the reminder.

    Hi Mizmir,
I'm sorry about your dog... pets are so special.
I am sure you gave him/her 13 great years, though, and will have lots of good memories.
I wish I had your talent at dealing with papers - my huge bugbear!

Sorry to hear about the dog.

You seem to be getting on well with the paperwork though, I can't even find my tax return or my online password etc, so a phone call to HMIT will be in order today I think otherwise I will be running around like a headless chicken at the end of the month!

Keep going, you are doing really well x

    Hi Taxi

Thanks for asking. Yes am here and things are fine. I am reassessing our situation at the moment - sorting out our taxes, still trying to get the bill for the car (OH's car is now in the garage too! :() - then I have to rearrange some stuff to minimise interest and then I'll have a clear idea of where we are starting. Think the debt is going to go up before it goes down - but I have a serious budget now - and plans for raising/saving £500 extra a month (wish me luck!).

The house I mentioned that we could let out for OH's uncle is moving forward - we've done some painting and I'm going to see if I can get a cheap carpet tomorrow if I can. It then needs a really good clean through and then we'll advertise it. It is not perfect but it is a nice property and with luck we'll let it for a reasonable rent. If we can let it even if it is just for 6 months we'll make a big chunk to pay off our debts.

But am not relying on this until it is sorted - still working on reducing outgoings and increasing incomings!

Thanks again - when do you go on holiday?
