Op got their money back, so they are happy.

Some posters seem unhappy at that occuring...most uncharitable, imo.
Not at all, if you've been reading the thread you'll see the issue isn't about whether the OP got a refund or not, in fact I for one am very happy for the OP. This is about the OP's insistance that the car is not fit for purpose when clearly it is and this is simply a case of the buyer not doing enough research and changing their mind.

It wasn't unfit for purpose, it was just a crap car!

    But did it?
The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark

But the OP isn't happy, is she?

She's determined to fight this with Renault UK (on 'principle').

That is what I can't understand - as well as her reluctance to talk about how hard she tried to get a test drive - which presumably would have exposed all the flaws in the car she later discovered.

I've even said (as has redped) that I'm happy she got her money back (post #73).

I don't think anyone has said they're unhappy about the OP getting her money back.
Some have said they are surprised that the dealership agreed to refund but I've not seen a post that supports what you say.

100% agree - most people in the OP's position would be relieved they were back to where they started, and move on with life. I would say most people (everyone?) are happy the OP got her money back, but can't understand the OP's position in continuing her grievance with Renault UK.
