Rejecting a Brand New Car - unfit for purpose

Seeing as you have a history of buying cars without test driving first, I doubt that.
When I bought my first Puma - no demonstrator available; when I bought the first Tigra - no demonstrator available; when I bought my 4WD I test drove it before I bought it; when I bought the Wind - no demonstrator.
Quod Erat Demonstrandum, you might say.0 -

I am pleased you got your money back. I still don't believe (like everyone else on this thread) that the car is unfit for purpose, rather you just didn't like it. I still find it difficult to believe the dealer took the car back so easily, but will take your word that they did. So why not let the Wind be a dim & distant bad experience, and move on to either keeping your Tigra, or buying a different car? Why not just chalk this up to experience? Let it be one of life's lessons, and remember to test drive any cars you may buy BEFORE parting with your cash. This dog would love to give it up believe me but nobody else will let sleeping dogs lie!!
Speaking of letting sleeping dogs lie, that's what I was suggesting when I said you should put the Wind in the past, and move on to either keeping your Tigra or buying a new car.
I really don't see Renault UK coming back to you and saying "yes, you were right, we messed up the design of the Wind", even though this is what you want to hear. I would expect them either to say they can't find anything wrong with the car, or they'll say they found something wrong with your particular one, but others aren't affected.
If I were you, I'd forget about the Wind. On a slightly different note, if you're still thinking of changing your Tigra, how about the MX-5? I haven't driven the current version, but the Mk1s I drove as hire cars years ago were great. Plus you can get the latest version with either a soft top or a folding hard top.0 -

We discounted the Mazda very early on in our research - too expensive for a model with hard top, aircon and leather seats (which we already have) and the 150 litre boot would not be enough even for a week's grocery shopping, let alone a road trip! Doesn't compare well with the Tigra's 510 litres (top up) or 320 litres (top down). At 270 litres we knew the Renault was smaller but were prepared to compromise on space as we liked the car as a whole - until we drove it fast and far!0 -
OP, you answered your own questions in post 1. You got your old car back, bar about £70. For the life of me I cannot see what you are harking on about? What do you want?0
