There's no chance I will be able to save £1 million. I don't see the point of saving that large amount of money, I'd rather spend it while I'm alive.0

It's crazy how people come on this thread just to be negative.
Last week's challenges were half met. Bag for chazza needs dropping off. I have a bag of clothes ready to list in facebook groups, the only thing stopping me is my facebook crashed. so I uninstalled it. When I went to re download it, it said not enough memory. smh, samples 1 complete buttons just need sewing and the pattern cut for another.
Not well at all, just spent 4 hours doing some work, but had to email work and tell them to reschedule work for Tuesday and Wednesday as I'm not well, I have the flu and I suspect a chest infection, so will spend 2 days in bed eating soup etc.
Payday Friday, well Thursday night 9:30 for me, time to put my budgeting into practice just like tink, see how long £30 will last me and time to get my spending money sorted. I'm so frivolous with my money. I'm looking forward to having some restraint.Lose 28lb 3/28lb

Welcome, Bmth
getting rid of the debt is crucial, of course, but you can also be investigating second income streams right now, or checking whether extra qualifications would bring pay rises at work, that sort of thing. It all helps. What income stream were you thinking of initially?
Hey, thanks
I have a couple of things going on at the moment. I'm freelance writing, which varies but isn't bad; January made me €115 ish. I also tutor but I'm currently doing overtime instead - it usually isn't available
I'm also looking at starting two blogs; one is in a niche market that has guaranteed longevity and not a single competitor at the moment.. ! Won't say more on that just yet as I haven't yet registered the domain but I think I'm going down the managed Wordpress route and will pay for a domain. Eventually I'll look to monetise I hope .. !
My wife and I are making our final rental move in March - then we will be saving our deposit for our first home; that's maybe 2 years away.
I'm nearly 29 so I'm starting quite early and have some obstacles to hurdle (saving the deposit, clearing my debt) but I'm hoping to do that through salaried means and separate out my "additional" income streams
Edit: I did it!! Just signed up for Wordpress managed hosting with a good provider and I'm starting to put together my blog customisation and contentI've been putting it off for a long time but this is the beginning.

I have a free morning, so Adsense work it is. I don't really know what I've done wrong, which makes it difficult to describe to people2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
You savvy guys prob know about this app called Google opinion rewards.. You take mini surveys and gets paid for them.. The only downside is you can only use the money to buy apps...which on the other hand might be good , as you can buy better budgeting apps etc
Its a nice day here, so going to spend a few hours in the greenhouse/ garden.. Prepping stuff ready to plant, and sellWork to live= not live to work0 -

I find sometimes (no offence to Jerry this is aimed at the other poster) you get a lot of new posters posing random things to get there post count up - I assumed it was one of them but if you think back we do get stuff like "you guys are doing a great job" or something from someone under 10 posts lol
Sounds like all is going wellNice of you to join us Bmth I wish I was a better writer it certainly is a great skill to have but as KC has probably picked up over the last year or so my grammar is horrible
..but I'll plod on.
I have had a really good idea - but I want to focus on my photography. It's a real shame though because it's an idea that would benefit schools/children...honestly I think it may be something I push forward with next year it may not even financially benefit me depends on the way I do it I could hand over something to the schools or I could take a hands on approach and charge for it....so suppose where I am next year will answer that for me.
I have to many ideas - honestly I have 4 blog/website ideas that I feel would be great but it's getting the website to start with...not enough hours in the day....I will get there.People don't know what they want until you show them.0 -

Focus, focus! You need your own "million pounds" under way first - its called "giving back" for a reason, you know, because people have received. Take care of yourself and your family, and then you can safely do a not-for-profit thing. But I *do* know what its like to have lots of ideas and not have enough time. The two blogs I have, I do think its good to keep them both going and get them to grow, because they're in two really different sectors, and the learning about blogging etc crosses over between them. But I haven't done any writing for the new kindle book for ages, and as for the novel ... abandoned, sadly. Like LL was saying a couple of days ago, health and wellbeing come first.2023: the year I get to buy a car0
