I'm setting myself some targets for next week
Complete 1-2 samples.
Put items to sell in facebook groups.
Sort out work area and 1 bag to chazza.
Not many as I want to be realistic, I'm working most days next week, plus attending a funeral and visiting my grandma.Lose 28lb 3/28lb

Crikey, Tink. Hope everything is ok. As Karma says - At least no one was hurt but how spiteful.
Great idea on the weekly targets, Nightryder.. sounds like you've got a good balance there, should be achievable.
Im not sure how much I will achieve next week. I've not been too well this last few weeks and haven't felt like doing much.
I've got Physio on Monday and I have finally decided it is time to see a GP on Tuesday. I have been suffering quite a bit from tummy problems since I got back from my holiday. I think it's something I picked up from either the cruise ship or one of the islands. I've been hoping it would sort itself out but I think it's time to concede defeat and get some medical help.....
As a result of feeling below par I've not really achieved much so the sooner I get it sorted the better.
my offer on the flat has been accepted but they won't withdraw it from the market till Tuesday so I'm not counting my chickens just yet. I'll let you know my plans when it's all done and dusted.
Still living the frugal life, trying to bump up the savings. Managed to get the new saucepans I needed at a really good price so I decided to "treat myself" to a set of new kitchen knives in the sale. Other than that I have been very thrifty this month and will be able to smash my savings target again.0 -
The offer's been accepted! Excellent! As you say, you can't get too excited yet tho. I hope it all works out.
It's so hard to forge onwards when you feel unwell, isn't it - there's nothing medically wrong with me (except for arthritis) but the NHS tells me I have burnout: I'm low on energy all the time, and when I have a stressful meet, or stressful work (like my tax freakout on Friday) I feel really ill, swollen glands the lot, but its gone the next day. I can't do anything when I'm like that, just sit and rest
Definitely feel more energetic right now, so I'll be able to do something tomorrow - not the tax, but something helpful. And I have an extra hour's work on Monday, which will help, I don't have much work booked in next week.
Onwards and upwards.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Karma. You have my sympathy with the burnout. This is what happened to me when my husband was so sick and after his death, then just as I was getting a bit better my mum died and I nosedived again.
Basically I was living on adrenaline for years and like you say you just burn out. I am much better now but I still get days when my neck glands swell so I know it's time to give myself some TLC.
All we can do is work on healing our adrenal systems - Plenty of rest, healthy diet, exercise on the days you can manage it and try to eliminate the bad stress. Perhaps some vitamins and supplements??
My adrenal system is slowly healing but I think my immune system is maybe still a bit compromised because This time it's my tummy. I thought is was just the usual "tourista" - "travellers tummy" that I always get but i think it's a bit more this time. Normally it sorts itself out but It's been about 5 weeks now so time to get it sorted.
Without testing it's difficult to say, but I think it's probably some form of bacterial infection in the intestines or maybe I've picked up a parasite. Nice........one holiday souvenir I can do without........:rotfl:
So.....as I say I've not felt like doing much. Good for the frugal living but not so good for actual money making. I need to be a bit more pro active for that........
One thing this bout of illness has taught me.......and that's the need to work on those passive income streams!!! I'm not getting any younger and although like you I'm generally pretty healthy I'm not as robust as I used to be. Again something that needs work - need to get strong and healthy and increase those energy levels.
Anyhoo, next weeks goals........
Await the vendors taking the apartment off the market on Tuesday and then I'll take it from there.
Need to chase my PPI claim and review a couple of insurances that are coming up for renewal.
Some more decluttering.
In the meantime - Physio tomorrow - not been for nearly 6 weeks. I really need those healing hands.

I'll be completely finished by end of January, and ready to start the overhaul in February.

Good list up there, keep coming back with the updates

Coming out of lurkingdom .. I need to workout/ find some sort of passive income too!!
At the moment I have some money that we are using to do up our place, so while we still have it I am putting it into certain bank accounts to get a monthly interest on it, its only pennies, but it is something.. But that money will be used in the next 2-3 months and we will be broke again.. With not even an income..
So any ideas would be great..Work to live= not live to work0 -
Think about your skills, your energies, your likes, CTC - I can't remember where you live, is there employment locally, could you start your own business, will job/self employment need to be online?2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Hubbys business has gone, and I sold my business/ stock to get upfront funds to pay for basic renovations.
Which was a good move really..
I do have some ideas, but it does mean me investing % of my money to set it up..to a professional level..
I am hitting the big 50 this year, got no pensions etc.. And was looking for a passive earner.. On the back burner so to speak, that will quietly make me a few pennies but so is everyone else lol..Work to live= not live to work0 -
I feel your pain, CTC! One way I'm looking to monetise the cat blog (eventually!) is to sell images on somewhere like funkypigeon or whatnot - no hassle for me on printing cards or whatever, and they can be put on t shirts, mousemats, whatever.
Could you do something like that? Looking at your avatar, could it be Welsh images? Or what's the "triker" bit in your name on here? Could you do something like that?2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Funny enough I sell some bits on etsy, and someone in a team I have joined said why don't I sell one of my images of a product.. I am no photographer lol.. So I think oic was a fluke..
How does it work re funky pigeon etc with selling images?? Or any other platform.. Also how do I put watermarks through the pics to stop people copying them??Work to live= not live to work0
