Well done Kaya you're really making the photography work!
Today I started on my sample of a shirt, got a bit confused by the instructions. so walked away. I think I kind of know, so will attack again tomorrow.
College starts tomorrow and I haven't had the money to enrol, get paid next week, so I'm going to go and see if they might still accept me.
A lot of people have been reading this 4 hour week, I'm going to see if they have it in the library.Lose 28lb 3/28lb

I'm sure the college will accept you. I've had to that before. Some even have facilities for spreading payments out. .0

Hi LL, I have seen people come to a class 2 weeks late.
I just called the college and there are still spaces, yay! I'll be there Wednesday morning bright and early.
Also this morning I called a lady who lives 15 minutes from me who sews, she has said I can come round on Sunday with my shirt and we will figure it out. so I'm happy.
I met her in a meet up group for sewers, so it's worth checking the meet up site, because you can meet like minded people who are doing the same things as you, there are also plenty of business type groups.Lose 28lb 3/28lb

You've twisted my arm, just brought the 4 hour work week. I was determined to finish black hole focus before I brought it but hey...
Given I couldn't find a cheap copy I'll take eBay's word for it's good to.People don't know what they want until you show them.0 -
Just started rereading it last night, because I want to get into the detail in a couple of areas.. It's not an easy read, not exactly a page turner :rotfl: but there are some interesting ideas. I found some of the ideas around technology a bit difficult but I think that's me and my techno blindness. Although I get the principles I do struggle with the detail. Good job I have DS2 as my technical advisor.
Viewed a good property on Saturday, just waiting for EA to get back to me to clarify a few details.
Hope you are all well and keeping warm. I'm going out to lunch and cinema with a friend today so had better get cracking.0 -
So I finally went through and sorted all my documents such as bank/ mortgage/pension statements etc that had just been thrown into what seemed like a bottomless pit. My motivation for this started when I was looking for old accounts to find out if I can claim back any ppi (this took a back seat, although will be looking at this soon) I don't think I ever had any ppi as I always said no to any sort of payment insurance but it won't hurt to have this confirmed.
As it turns out I have around 5k more in my pension than I had originally guesstimated which in turn pushes me closer to 100k net worth, currently at around 98k.LBM: Dec 2012 - Debt £38,180/ Now £0.

Good morning millionaires in waiting.
Very quiet on here. Is that because you are all so busy counting your money....:D
well done on the sort out Muhren, especially the extra pension.:T
Well now I've been busy. I've put an offer on an apartment. They want more but because I'm offering them cash, ie no mortgage for a quick purchase I'm holding firm. It's up to them. I've left the offer on the table until Friday. The EA is fighting my corner for me but as the Vendors are a financial institution (mortgage repossession) I appreciate they are duty bound to advertise a bit longer. It's a corporate thing.
I am quite sanguine about the whole thing. The vendors are southerners and don't know the local market. The EA has explained that it's a good no strings offer and that it's not a "hot" market here. It's up to them, I'm not going higher.
They initially wanted two weeks but I said no one week was long enough and the EA backed me up. We'll see. No biggie if I don't get it.
I've realised that now that I'm a widow my heart really isn't in it anymore., I am not bothered where I live. It's not the same now. I'm not really looking for the perfect nest, just a short term base. I can buy with my head and not my heart. Now that I've finally taken that on board and there are no emotions in the equation it actually makes the house hunt much easier. I can concentrate on investment potential.
I'll explain my master plan in more detail when (if) this one comes off.
Other than that not much news. Today is a house cleaning, sort out day, with maybe a bit of domestic godessing thrown in. I've had a poorly tummy recently and things have rather gone to pot. The house is a tip.......
I did slope off to see the "Danish Girl" on Monday - very good. aNd I have a hot date on Thursday........nah, only kidding - just the Leo De Caprio film (can't remember the title) and then dinner with a male friend......just a friend,!!!!
I'm not ready for romance.............0 -

Tbh. I think most of us are aiming for much higher than that. 15 per cent won't get you very far.0
