Congratulations, Tink! You've done amazingly well, you really have turned things around. And lovely to have chickens as a part of that plan2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Of course not LL, I appreciate the advice I was just putting the situation across but in due time hopefully I will get their. :-)
This time in next three years for me!! (And even then I can dream haha)
I'm so nervous about my wedding tomorrow!!! I wasn't this bad when I did the 1st one. I couldn't sleep last night although hopefully that means I will sleep well tonight as I'll be so tired...
I had an old lead come to light and have another wedding booked for November now :-) That ones only £110 but it's only for 2 hours shooting plus 2 hours travel. Hoping not to take anymore on this year now as my business will go mental over Xmas.People don't know what they want until you show them.0 -
Good luck Kaya hope all goes well.
Still busy in parents cottage, just one more quick session and then I'm done. Contracts exchanged, we legal on Monday. Phew. What a marathon.
Today I'm just going to concentrate on some of my own affairs, a good clean up, sort out some paperwork. My new Cross trainer has arrived so need to free up some space and also set up the Wii and dig out some exercise DVDs. Need to get in shape for that holiday........cheaper and more time efficient than joining a gym.
Did anyone see the meteorites last night. Fab...I sat out for a couple of hours, wrapped in blankets with glass of vino, just watching the light show.
Told you I was a cheap date :rotfl:
Great stuff Tinks - you were backed into a corner and you came out fighting. More power to your elbow gal..
Defo this time next year Rodders.....:rotfl:
Im feeling good, strong, positive and optimistic.
It's been 10 long years of sickness, death and money worries but it's over. The future looks bright and I'm happy and content.
Onwards and upwards........:j

Well wedding 2 went a hell of a lot better, I've got some truly amazing photos but then I've also made a couple of mistakes. The big group shot didn't go well as my equipment limited me and I couldn't get back far enough so cramped everyone in but the result was people sticking their heads over peoples shoulders to get in, faces half covered etc.. >.< and the small group shots I can't explain it they just don't quite look good but I've got pictures like the groom in tears facing forward and the bride blurred slightly in the background walking up the aisle smiling at him..I'm hoping the good will outweigh the bad for them I really don't know what to make of it , the groom seems like quite a picky man..lovely but hard to please.
Hope everyone is getting on ok just wanted to update xXPeople don't know what they want until you show them.0 -
Glad all went well, sorry cannot comment on what went wrong with some of the shots. Hopefully someone out there can advise.
Final day at the cottage, read meters etc and cleared the lasr feŵ bits. Phew thank goodness thats over.
Dad was very miserable - hardly surprising really. It's the end of Era for him. I,found it hard to leave my much loved home too so I can empathise. It's the 4 months Anniversay of mums death today too. Theres really not much I or anyone else can do to help him. It's one of those things you just have to get through.
Hey ho.
Just need to inform everyone who needs to know and then we are done. The plans have gone in for the extension to my sisters house so it's just a waiting game now until we can start the build. They are pushing for dad to be in by Christmas, but I doubt we can do it all by then.
So now it's my turn.
Get slim and healthy ready for my holiday, I have started buying some nice clothes. A new wardrobe for a new me........
Seem to be spending money like water at the moment.
but it's all in a good cause. Me.:rotfl:
Don't worry ive not had a brainstorm Im still focussed on my long term goals. Im still on my journey - just a little splurge......0 -

What about expanding the business and employing again, so you can eventually take on a business management role?
Not sure if your previous employees may have put you off going back down that route though.
Well done with the debt shrinkage.
cazmanian
Your a minx too :rotfl:
Hope the house goes through smoothly.

I was thinking of you on the 10th, I only had access to internet via my phone and it would not let me post.
I love your saying "we legal on ...", I am sooo nicking that one.
Broken biscuits

I didn't know you had a kindle book, how did I miss that?!
Things alright with me/us, we are busy looking at our next business ideas and planning, as always- but we put lots of work into planning and research.
Business is quite at the moment but it is our quietest month anyway so no concerns.
We legalled (told you I was nicking it LL) on our BTL recently so have been busy with that and will be for the next week or so.
We do not currently have any lodgers, its weird and very nice. They always kind of fell in our lap previously we have never advertised, and always been people known to us or through a friend, quite often we have said no more, then we have heard another sad story and relented.0 -

Great news Minxy.
legalled .....Yes I'm guilty of mangling the English language. Always inventing new words. Our family also has a nice line in "fake" languages - Spanglish. Faux French, Cod German.... Just one of those daft things you do.
Exciting times for your new business venture.
Had to smile anout the lodgers, my aunt was like you - always picking up waifs and strays......she never turned anyone away.
Not much news. Had a nice day just catching up with myself, frugality still going well (apart from holiday - not a planned spend but what the heck). Someone made a comment about it being a "good transition" into my new life as a singleton.
At any rate im starting to look forward to it. A bit apprehensive because it is my first ever holiday on my own bit im sure I'll be ok.
It's time go put "widowhood" behind me, time for some adventures....
Off to IKEA tomorrow for a few bits - and maybe a new sofa......:rotfl:0
