You're right about mistakes and regrets, Kaya, absolutely.

Maybe the shoot might be in that class too? There's probably more people that want photos of their kids than want to be in the photos with them - some of the time, at least. The option's probably important :)

Sorry KC I'm not sure what you mean about being in that class xx

Edit: Oooo I've had one person comment on it saying they know my friend who I did my last photo shoot for and she loved the photos but she doesn't have kids (so couple) and another say they have kids of 9 and 17 which isn't exactly what I'm looking for but def a back up if I don't get someone close.

I'm just happy now to have a few replies (esp first one complementing me haha) as it doesn't make me look like an idiot!!!

Hope you sort your phone Minxy :/

Do you think it will raise in value Karma?

It must be massively disappointing, Kay is right and we do never know for sure where an investment will take us and what is the right choice, but it takes a lot to get over the disappointment of not only the money but lots of other things that happen through the situation.

Kay that's rubbish (I hate you cant even write carp on this site), about your shoot, fingers crossed you get some takers from your local site.

My phone has just decided to turn its self off and wont go back on, I am really annoyed though as am meant to be sorting something for the business so was waiting for a text on when someone was home so I can go over, and have no way to receive it now, and no other way to contact them.
Will have to wait for husband to get home, which could be any time from 6.30pm ish to 8pm, as he sometimes does some bits for business on a Sunday evening.
I have emailed him to come early, it just depends if he checks his emails.
 to the stupid phone- I want to chuck it out of the window, but that really will end its life!

What you said about the woman not understanding what shoot you were offering? You might get lots of work in different *kinds* of families - with/without kids, without parents, single parents, single sex set of parents, multi-generational, different ethnicities, adoption - widening out the idea of what you can offer might be really good business, thats all :)

I was completely naive, minxy, and I paid for it - I don't worry about it any more, I was even prepared to go live in it if the holiday managing firm didn't take it back on :D

When technology doesn't work ... it *really* lets us down. Argh!

I've just paid for hosting for my two little ventures - talk about technology letting us down, I paid and it didn't go through, so I paid over the phone. Have to check that both didn't go through later on! And now that I've got hosting, monetisation here I come :j

Kay - Minions is fab...I don't want to give too much away - but it's great fun - loads of jokes and one liners, you have to be really quick,

The voices were fantastic, especially Sandra Bullock, lots of London send ups and a really great soundtrack.

Karma - if it's any consolation I lost money on our Spanish apartment too. I had to,sell it to clear our debts when OH was ill, and I knew I wouldn't want to live there without him. Luckily I managed to,find a buyer before the market really took,a nosedive. I did have to pitch it low though to be quick and beat the market.

The only thing that saved me was the exchange rate which just happened to be in our favour at the time, it did offset some of the loss.

I really wish I could get my head around computer technology and how to make a business venture from the Internet. Unfortunately my brain just doesn't seem to work that way.

I have vision and am creative but I'm just can't fathom out how to translate my skills into an internet business. I can't even face selling on eBay. I would rather delegate and split the profits.

Maybe one day i will have a blinding flash of inspiration and the mysteries of the ether will be revealed......:rotfl:

Until then I will just have to,keep rolling up my sleeves and getting my hands dirty....

I really must find the next house and get the ball rolling again. ITs nearly a year since my husband died, it's time to move forward.

But first - the birthday celebrations need to continue.

My DS1 commented tonight, saying Is this birthday the one the Beatles wrote a song about.......:rotfl:

Sorry you got hit by it all too, LL! I'm fine on the apartment unless I focus on it, honestly - its been a long time in the making all this, I'm over it :) I was just bringing minxy up to date :)

I'll have to earn a *lot* of money at whatever I do to get a decent hourly rate - its all taking forever :D I'm writing about things I love (cats!) and subjects I'm interested in - I went back to my cat website on weebly this week, and even tho I haven't updated it for a year, its still getting a dozen hits a month. If I'm selling a bit of stuff, and updating, it can be *lots* more than that :)

Well, you could 'force' yourself to do it and keep all the profits. Or delegate and get passive income. I'm with you on that one :T.

Hope you have a great day!

Will pop back later to catch up on updates, but just wanted to pop on quickly now for the birthday girl.

    Morning everyone else.

    Wheee Happy Birthday!

The problem with being an eBay wizz is lovely family members ask from time to time for you to sell things for them #sigh. My Grandad wants a bike selling soon and someone has just given me a set of cheap gold clubs to sell on...cheap being the problem because I can't post them due to weight as it's not worth it...will give it a shot it's all I can do but I'm not hopeful.

Wow this thread moves fast, got a lot to catch up with.

Happy birthday LL; have an awesome day.

Holiday was great. Plumber was supposed to finish last week but it is pushed back to this week now. Kitchen is fitted and prospective tenants are interested. Need to draw up contracts so joined Guild of Residential Landlords for help/templates.
