  • Carrying on from a previous rant re the BIL who didnt want Christmas Presents - he has responded to an email chain which the other BIL who isnt stingy had put around about activities on the approaching family weekend away.

He has commited to 62 pounds worth of stuff just for him, thats before his GF has had her input.

P*ss is simmering, guys and gals.

    The Husband has been Informed.

Question is can I hold my tongue for the weekend away??:rotfl:

Very colourful thread this is becoming Kathryn, and I'm not talking about your language ;).

The weekend away could be challenging I suspect. On the plus side, all your other "activities" are sounding good xx J.

I like a splash of some colour

challenging just about covers it. Hope the daughter doesnt say something loudly and publically, I would do it pointedly and not make a scene.

Despite my ranting I am a fan of decorum! :rotfl:

Well done all of you! Gargrave ... have just spent all day reading your thread and have to say ... WELL DONE!!!!! I would post but am so knacked am off to bed ... w**k in the morning and all that lol. Unfortunately have had a good and bad weekend. Good because I went to DH's new work on Saturday and bought myself a 3 in 1 jacket, waterproof hiking shoes and a t-shirt all for £60 plus £5 for the standard discount card. Roll on when DH gets his staff discount card as we will get both discounts then! The items I bought should have come in at around £150 so dead chuffed for the amount that I saved ... I know I could have waited until he got his staff card but tbh the money would have gone on other things ... it was my birthday money so technically did not cost me a penny!!!!!

    That was the good part!

Sunday turned pants as i got a phone call to tell me that my great-auntie died at 8 am ... she was old and poorly but it was still a shock ... looking like me and dad will have to go down to England for the funeral ... we were going to take my car till i worked out it would be nearly £200 for the petrol! So we have done a deal ... i will pay for bus fares on National Express as we both get cheap fares ... and daddy will pay for the accommodation. We will go down the day before the funeral and come home the day after so only 2 nights in a cheap hotel! Gonna try and get dad to go through my quidco account and see if i can bag me some cashback. I know my lovely aunty will be up there having a laugh about it.

And to top it all off I have the lurgy!!!!! Darn work colleage (who now on hols for a week) was sent home on Thursday for being "contagious" but the manager. There are only 3 of us in the office ... I am now full of the lurgy and completely blame said colleague! Knowing my luck I will not be sent home but will be made to work the entire day!!!

Right ... off to bed for me as I am up in a few hours for the dreaded office job! Hope you are all well xxxx
