Well I have just taken the first positive step towards being debt free although i know it will be a long road for us:j! I have just printed out the standard letters to get my credit reports ... gotta get DH to go to the post office for me as I am home today ... no w**k as whatever has made me feel terrible is in my sinus and DH would not let me go out this morning
... just as well cos its cold and wet up here today.
I have a feeling that there are a few items on my credit report that need either removing or notes putting on them:eek:. And today I am going to print out and send and SAR to my old employer. I get a small disability pension due to that employment but need to check their paperwork to see if they have used two little words. If those words have been used then I can push them to pay me a larger pension and backdate it to the day my employment ended:rotfl:. All it will cost me is the price of registered post so not going to be spending loads for this. As DH had the same former employer (not at the same time) we are doing an SAR for him also as he thinks that there was wages paid into a closed bank account that he may be able to claim back so we have asked for all of his previous pay statements to check (all 11 years worth!!!!) I really do not fancy ploughing my way through all of them but DH is pants with pennies so I will have to do it!
Going to wait till we get my credit reports back before writing off for PPI and the like ... I'm estimating that my PPI for a few loans may just add up to enough to offer F&F's to my 2 main creditors:rotfl: ... I have a loan with Intelligent Finance and a loan & overdraft with LLoyds with totals of about £16500 for those 3. I have a catalogue with Littlewoods but am not including that as I have always made my payments every month and I do use this to get my own clothing and pressies for the kids etc (and 65% of the balance is actually my dad's)
DH has a debt that we are just not thinking about at the moment ... it is to do with his former employment so we can't really talk about it but they can wait:rotfl:. If we can get the main 3 paid off then I will be in a position to make an offer of payment to the other one ... but not until I have spoken to the main 3. I do know that they are prepared to accept less than the balances so just want to wait and see how much PPI I can claim back from various sources and then make some offers and see what happens.
(I think I'm going to become a serial letter writer:rotfl:)LBM - August 2008 - Debts then - £33390 - 2nd LBM - November 2009 - Debts then - £18500:mad:

ps ... although i do promise to use my day off productively ... i may start a diary on here ... but first priority is to photograph and ebay list all of DH's unwanted star trek magazines and my unwanted charmed mags to see if we can make a few squids on ebay! xxxLBM - August 2008 - Debts then - £33390 - 2nd LBM - November 2009 - Debts then - £18500:mad:

Just a lunchtime quickie as my projects are at the point of too many meetings and lots of annoyance as I am more built for playing frisbee than talking about projects, in so many ways.
My washer has broken and is irrepairable. I have to buy a new one. My cooker is broken too, a day later and can just limp along but occasionally its tripping the lights and its just a nightmare.
Have had to admit defeat and will have to use the money I have put aside for vodafone and start again with everything. I have been in tears and so demoralised. I will update my signature but the 1 debt v 100 days has failed.
Lets hope the vodafone rep can locate the missing £95 and I can then build a little pot and settle that debt as soon as is possible.
If I had not been stockpiling it would be on the credit card now.
Back to work now with a cheery smile and hello and will stand in front of people talking about savings and cash flow and projected rates.
I can quickly update the signature but I feel utterly hopeless and so flat.Trying to shift that debt!0 -
Oh and ebay has been absolutely crap this week and someone who bought something off me has been ridiculous... an item sold for £3.00,and I stated its condition was unfinished hem (part of the design mind), she complained and asked for money off, I offered a pound off, she said she would prefer 1.50 OR would want a complete refund, reimburse her p & P for returning it and it would be bad feed back. If i did as she asked it would be good feedback. Blocked her as a bidder the blackmailing little scratter. She can have her 50p and choke on it.
Shocking week, and ive the weekend of diplomacy ahead. Give me strength, there could be bodies in the lake and all kinds.Trying to shift that debt!0 -

Looking at those savings down in your signature, I'd be crying, with happiness.
Is a bummer when these things crop up.
