Yes Ive paid a whack off, Via lewis, who are collecting the debt for Welcome. As I deal with Lewis I am asking them to liase with Welcome as Welcome are horrible!!!
Oh I have bought them small individual gifts which I am returning to the shops. I also bought to make up a treat basket, some posh red wine vinegar, some fancy chocolate, a bottle of real champagne and some glasses. These will be divvied out and used as gifts to other folks!Trying to shift that debt!0 -
*like*
Sounds as if Lewis are taking their time updating Welcome with the amount you've paid off, or Welcome are taking their time updating the credit reference agencies. I get it now. Best of luck getting that sorted - I wait with baited breath!December 2005 TOTAL DEBT at its worst - [STRIKE]£20,596[/STRIKE]

Also, this amount has been paid over 2 and a half years gradually, yet the amount owing is still static.

What a pain about the presents!! My sister did this to me last year, I had already bought their presents too so gave them over anyway. The MSE in me now though would dictate that i returned them all and saved the money lol or like you gave them out to others!
Hope you get your welcome account sorted sounds like a nightmare!

glad you have the vodafone rep on the case for you hun, and boo to BIL re pressies! We only buy for our parents and the kids now and a few other close pals but I've cut right back over the last few years. Used to buy for every member of the family. I'm so cheap that I give my dad money to put towards my grandad's pressie and it goes from all of us!
I don't know what chrimbo is going to be like here ... my parents aren't speaking to DH and he refuses to apologise for being a complete a***hole with them (when i walked out) ... thinks he is right and just won't bite the bullet and apologise for my and the kids' sakes (MEN ARGH!!!)
Today managed to have a tyre blowout ... thankfully just round the corner from my mum's house and she had the kids ... took ages for the R*C to come but they managed to fix it ... boo have to go to work tomorrow! And even better, cos i have a motability car it was all covered! Phew ... had visions of a big barney with the council about all the potholes in the road but it's all sorted out now!
Hope you are all having a great day and that tomorrow is good too xxxLBM - August 2008 - Debts then - £33390 - 2nd LBM - November 2009 - Debts then - £18500:mad:

I most definately have that Friday Feeling people!! and Julie you can use any of my sayings as often as you like. I make these things up sometimes but you know, time drags like a dog with worms unless you keep busy!
Had my PPI interview last night and "casting my mind back to 2004" proved difficult.
I also had a letter from Santander stating that they didnt have the necessary documentation to progress a claim. Well I shall send off what I have to their escalation point, after all it only costs a stamp, and I shall see what transpires.
Shy bairns get nee broth. Its worth a shot.

Its that time of the month again, no not Barnsley at home, but defleaing the cats and dogs. This month to make a bit extra I have used quidco in conjuction with petmeds. I am now a convert. I go everywhere via quidco. Could try coming to work via quidco!
I shall even buy on ebay via there! I had a look and it seems there is 40%, cashback. Oh the money I have missed out on!
There is 4.50 coming back to me, this all counts!! :T:T
As yet there is no word from the Vodafone rep, but the money is there, and ready to be sent on. I am not concerning myself too much with this. As I said, I still have to repay my savings with the rest of the money, and i have until the 23rd November, when the challenge ends, to do so.
No paypal money in today, and no fresh cash to divvy out in either. Monday is Child benefit day (or mam benefit this month) and £60 of that is being put aside for the dreaded and expensive weekend away.
Whoop look at the time. It wont be long at all and I shall be winging my way home (via the post office with ebay sales) and looking forwards to a weekend of varied and exciting things like cleaning out the car (it was planned I would be treated to a valet, but that costs about £40, I am a smidge cheaper) Shame I cant go via quidco for my own cleaning eh?
I will go out at lunchtime though and I will get some fabric cleaner in the pound shop, I will also get my mam a bunch of flowers, and I will draw a tenner out the bank.
My mam deserves the flowers, for one she gave birth to me but that was 42 years ago and I think she could let that one drop now to be frank. It wasnt that painful mam, I was less than 6lb... probably didnt even touch the sides.... but she has been an absolute star performer doing another few massive bags of ironing (which DH has put away probably in the wrong places) and sending my dad with them at regular intervals in a collection and delivery service role.
Bravo all round there. :T
Having a bit of a legal wrangle at the moment - this is resulting in the short term of me having a short fall of 250 per calendar month. In the longer term this should mean I am 500 pounds per month better off. I also can do a personal claim for lost income which is into 5 figures. These things will take time.
I dare not scupper this process by stating too much on this forum but other people have not been transparent in their dealings, therefore there are legal limitations which no longer apply. Myself and DH can tighten our belts - ebay and quidco til the cows come home. Bring it on..
Long term aim - yeah debt free, longer term aim, minor player in the property developing field (I am really good at it!) and dropping hours in the old day job.
FOCUS still on my credit file, buying current rented house, DH car, terraced house finished and tenant in, and the added spice of legal wranglings.
