Left for life Down Under 4th August 2012 - living frugally and have learned my lessons :j:j:j:j0 -
Just thought about it and have decided to work doubly hard to get that DFD down as much as possible, and am still gunning for my targets.
After a nice little chat with DH last night and his pending salary uplift discussion (we still have seperate accounts) we have made a few decisions.
Goal 1 A - Improve my credit rating by settling outstanding defaulted balances, welcome and vodafone.
Once Ive settled these I will apply to buy my house and even a saving of 0.01 % has to be good.
Goal 1 B - Reduce my personal debt. Focus mainly on debts in my sole name, so my credit ratio is freed up. Also I have the most expensive borrowing so this falls into the snowball psyche.
Goal one then is get fit to mortgage, then reducing outgoings by 200 per calendar month. Half of this will be saved into home improvements (benefitting both houses) and the other half can be put against the debts. this will bring my debt free day even closer.
Goal 2 - Husband needs a car as he is on call and cant be nicking off in the shonky mobile. The salary uplift shall be wholly used to put to this, Ive a grand sum of £75 thus far to contribute and shall continue to make proportionate savings contributions, but nothing like the cash injection of 4-500 per month the husband will make.
Goal 3 - I am still adding to the Home Improvements fund. Once the car fund reaches the dizzy heights of £1700 (150 for car and 200 towards getting it on the road) Hubby will make a 50% payment of the uplift to his credit card and 50% to the Home improvement fund.
So still going for it with ebay, surveys, PPI reclaims (any PPI coming in will be split as per my little debt book) and am going to look for any money making scheme I can. Put what I can against debts.
Sell everything. Except the dogs.:rotfl:Trying to shift that debt!0 -
