Camelot that's a huge decision to take, are you 100% sure? Life is short, and these opportunities don't often come along more than once in a lifetime. You don't know what's around the corner for you. xxxIt's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your window

I agree with JackieG. Camelot - Why can't you go on your own? If you've already paid for flights then you'll be losing out on the money there anyways so you may as well go! When are you meant to be going? I'm going in Oct

Should be going in July. I had planned to meet DD in Melbourne and we would travel to Sydney to see some friends, then back to Melbourne to take her back and fly home. I have been before so I know what I am missing! I will get a chance to go again but feel that this isn't the right time to go on my own. XX0

Evening all

I lurked this morning but didn't have time to post .... busy, busy!! I was working at 10.30 about half an hour away, so instead of coming home inbetween the school run and leaving for work and wasting an hour (which I would have done
), I drove part of the way and parked up in a lay by overlooking rolling countryside, switched some music on and gave the van a good clear out
I've done level 1 flying yesterday and today and also sorted out a hotspot and hoovered the whole house ... am shattered!!!
I'm doing a bootcamp at the moment and am not eating wheat/sugar (or drinking alcohol ) so this morning I made a wierd concoction of fruit salad, coconut milk and quinoa, lunch was herby eggs, asparagus, cucumber and tomato (leftovers!) and tea was savoury mine and pots with carrots.
Molly - I LOVE that clip! someone put it on my fb wall a few days back :rotfl:
Camelot - I want to live near your A@da!! Haven't seen bargains like that here for a while
Math - good to see you posting ... can we flog you with an organic leek just for fun ? you made me :rotfl:

Hester - oh my days!! armed police?! he must have been petrified bless him!! hope you are all ok and the rest of the week is less eventful
NPM - hope you're ok?
Lowesy - Good Luck with everything and hope things get moving quickly ... can't wait to see pics
Taplady - hope your DS takes your advice - how old is he?

Evening
Bit late in posting.
Did a washing and hung it outside, it was so windy I thought it would blow done the street:eek: Thankfully it didn't and in just over 2 hours it was mostly dry. I took it in though as there was some dark clouds above but in the end it didn't rain.
I have blitzed the kid's room so am happy with that.
Had to bleach the bathroom floor DS missed the toilet in the middle of the night, still least this time he made it into the bathroom, caught him trying to go in his bedroom last week. Poor wee soul was just confused when he got up in the middle of the night.
I am ashamed to say we have spent £46.60 on takeways so far this month and £160.39 on fod shopping and I need to go shopping again tomorrow - I need to be so much more organised.
I started a diary to get me organised in the house and this has worked a treat so I am going to have to concentrate more on the financial side and then maybe one day I can keep on top of the house and the money.
DD is very excited as she thinks the potatoes are sprouting. We've never grown them before and to be honest I have no idea when they will be ready or what to look out for. DD also says the tomatoe plant is starting to sprout.

Evening all,
Math and Ivyleaf, nice to see you both.
Cold and windy here....really miss the shelter the 2 trees felled on Saturday gave us....it feels now as if the whole world can see into my kitchen....they were rotten and the roots run under the house so they had to go and the fires are now taken care of for the winter.
Had spag bol for dinner as made some sauce yesterday, gave lo to DD4 as have no room in freezer and won't use it with being away for next week.
Have done the packing...not bringing very much as need to take home some of the stuff over there, doesn't fit any more among other reasons....OH will be in a panic in the morning in spite of the fact that we don't fly until 2ish so early start not needed.
DD3 has now got her date for going to Oz....26th at 7.30 am so she is getting all excited...turns out that she worked several years ago with another engineer who will be on her flight and sharing a house for a month so that's a plus. Not sure if bf will get on same flight but at least he can start looking now....she is leaving us to airport to-morrow and collecting us next week, she sold her car when the insurance came due so she can have ours for the week and keep an eye on my poor cat, as Kerry will go to live with her while I'm away.
Really don't know what to advise on sleepless littlies, not sure if mine were all good in that department or if I was such a rotten mother that I didn't hear them in the night. Can you not talk to your doctor and see if he/she has some advice to offer?
NPM....please take care of yourself.
Hester....think that there is some legal reason why foster children cannot be photographed, can't remember what from my days in that area but know that there is something and its probably an EU thing so would be same in UK as here.
Lowesy...how overdue are you? Raspberry leaf tea is a very old remedy and might be worth a try.
Had to pay my home insurance bill this morning and it was painful...€600 and at that the contents insurance was reduced drastically, guy I spoke to reckoned that I had 3 times the normal contents cover in force, hopefully I won't need to make a claim but at least its all now sorted for another year.
Hugs to all in need or want of one, stay safe and sleep well...see you on 19th.

Hi everyone
been a bit MIA for a while due to life! as those on my FB know we had fright with someone taking money out of our account, was scarey but it has made work check the system as it happened there. Am not in trouble for using internet for personal use, but has opened a can of worms as seems we have not have virus update since 2009!!!!!!!
RE kiddies not sleeping, my DD never slept, I made excuses, she was our first, her brother was born, she had croup and was in hospital for 2 weeks, in the end I realised she didn''t like going to bed! I used to say after 6 no toys just sit on sofa with a book, by half 6 she fell asleep, 6.45 i could carry her up to bed and that was it for the night...although she always woke at 5am....I could live with that as long as she gave me my evenings lol
Was sposed to have a 'visit' from letting agency today, letter says between 5 and 6.30 lady who usually comes knows I don't get in before 6 but got home and no one has been...do they not realise if I need to pay the rent I need to work :rotfl:
Hug and good wishes to those I haven mentioned xxwhoever said laughter was the best medicine has clearly never tasted wine
