    Morning All

Lovely day so i will catch up on the washing today.

Dentist pulled the tooth so I am back to eating mush again for a week - trouble is I don't lose any weight which is annoying. Mouth still painful but better than it was.

I want to get some more seeds planted today so I have a rolling stock for the summer.

    Hester:eek:

NPM ((((((Hugs))))) Do you have a complaints procedure that you can take your manager through?

Hugs NPM x. Can you something similar to supply teaching in nursing? I know it is erratic but it does give some income.
HH your life has more happening in it than many soaps. Hope your son is none the worse for his unnerving experience. Wishing you a calm few weeks before the wedding x

Silver In nursing we have always had 'banks' where you can be available to work as many shifts as you want. Unfortunately there is very little work around at the minute, and most extra shifts would go to full or part time staff working in a particular hospital. I was looking into getting back to work on a bank, and have found that there is just nothing out there at the minute. It's a shame. Nursing was always seen as the profession where you would never be out of work. Not the case now. Everyone says ' oh, they are always crying out for nurses!'. Err, no, they aren't. There are many more needed on the wards to be able to deliver the type of care that we would all like to have, but staff are so thin on the ground, that the ones who are there are so stretched and stressed that it is a very tough profession to be in now.
Money is so much tighter now that I am not working, but our home life is much happier and I am glad I gave it up.

OS is limited because I am too b****y hot and fat, but I may attempt to put some washing on later.

Hello everybody :hello: Didn't manage much sleep last night as the back was still playing up (I was in bed with a hot water bottle by 8) - it seems somehow tied to my emotional state at the moment, how thoughtful of it....Anyway, eventually fell off about 3-ish so a bit tired today. Still got an action plan which involves requesting my GP records and ringing a couple of places for their brochures - when did private hospitals start having brochures, they're not holiday camps.....:D Anyway, dinner tonight will be toad with roasted asparagus with a quiche shoved in the oven with the broccoli stalk in it (tomorrow's dinner) and if there's a bit of spare room some flapjacks in the sponge tins. I really need some new shallow trays but not on the budget at the moment, still I've sure my sponge tins will work just as well.....

Sunny here but feeling damn cold - but my runner beans are up which is something :j Must plant the next raft of glads and sunflowers this weekend...."for all summer long colour" - apparently....

NPM - been there, done that, I would certainly have a word with the union (I didn't but then the union bloke left half way through my official complaint about management bullying and when he did all my support vanished as well.....). It's not fun going into work dreading it...

Unfortunately we realised this morning that yesterday in all the "waaaargh" OH missed his hospital apt.....I certainly wasn't thinking straight and neither was he. He's ringing up today and grovelling...

Right off typing.... have a nice day...
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green :D

    Morning all

NPM - hugs for you x
Lowesy - hope bubba comes soon!

I have a day off work today (lieu day for going to N Wales last week). But I need to spend all day writing my assignment for uni so will be mentally treating it as 'working from home day'. I do have to return my works minibus to the hire centre at end of day but that will only take half hour or so.

OS wise - kitchen cleaned, flat hoovered and WM just finished with bedding, so will put that out to dry. Dinner will have to be freezer surprise as I haven't got much in and trying to put off food shopping til Thurs to get uni stuff out of the way. May put BM on later too.

Right I MUST finish this assignment today so I will go and get on with it!!

    Have a good day all

Also went to camping shop again y'day....this is the one i want ;).

Personally I don't think those style tents are suitable for UK weather. There isn't much living space inside so if it pours it down you're all crammed in to a small space with not much light.
these sorts of tents are my preference, you errect the frame, lay the canvas on top and unfold it. Then you can shove all your gear inside and unpack even if it's raining. Canvas tents tend to be warmer too. We had the other sort of tent and the problem with putting that up in the wet was in order to feed the fibre glass poles into the slots the tent ended up on the floor, in the mud and the wet, not nice and had to be cleaned. Least with a frame canvas tent that was not an issue. My frame tent also had a stick out section for the cooker so no cooking outdoors :) Lots of experience as a kid of camping when the weather has been totally pants :o
Just my opinion of course :)

With DS NOTHING worked. 3 sweeps, pineapple, curry, marital unpleasantness......all a waste of time. Good luck though and I hope it won't be too long for you xx

    Morning everyone.
Eaten half a large bar of choccy already :o Not feeling great today. Feel carp due to horrible cough and cold and another disturbed night with DS, ended up playing bed swap again. He took forever going off to sleep last night, was quarter to ten again last night, keeps talking, trying to get our attention to get us to sit on the stairs with him, doesn't like his bedroom, doesn't like the dark etc etc Wakes in the night shouting for one of us........just can't see any of this getting any better. Sorry to be on a downer, just feeling a bit sorry for myself :o No hugs needed, probably more like a good shake and to get a grip :o

Not sure what's for tea as I haven't checked the planner. Need to put the vac round along with a duster if I can be @rsed :o:o

NPM - Hugs for you, go see the Dr if you can, even if it's just to discuss your options and perhaps speak to a rep who might be able to advise on where you stand if you went off sick? xx

Hester - It's never boring in your life is it

Rage - Good luck picking a different hospital xx

Hugs and spoons all round. Have a good day OS or not.

    Morning All!

First off, stop talking about tents, you're making me want one

Hester, life is certainly never boring at yours, is it? Hope BIL is OK. x

NPM I am with everyone else as you know, go on the sick before you end up really unwell woman!

Bitsy, you moan all you want, can I just tell you that my first memory of this board and joining in on the daily was your almost daily commentary on DS's terrible sleeping pattern and thinking how exhausted you always sounded - because of the lack of sleep with him, maybe it is time to go to the doctor /paed and ask for help, it has been a long time for this to be going on, you'll end up burning yourself out. Hugs for you honey xxx

Redruby looking forward to seeing the finished product :)

Well, not much sleep for me again last night, I had a long talk with my sister, and am no further forward in making a decision about what to do about seeing my mother. Thankfully it sounds positive for her, she is having tests today and they are planning on putting a stent in next week, so she must be doing not too badly if they think she's strong enough for some sort of surgery. I have DS2 still off today and DH is in bed feeling rubbish too, so am going to potter about the house and see what's what. I need to bake bread and dry DS2's pillow which I had to wash this morning but that's about it.

Have a good day, hugs all round.
