morning! didn't post or read yesterday -ran out of time .
Off to work on a late shift today so start at 2pm, finishing at 10pm.Money is so much tighter now that I am not working, but our home life is much happier and I am glad I gave it up.
:T I'm so pleased that its made a big difference to your home-life. I think we will have to head that way before long as DHs health is not too good and he cant continue working for too much longer. We're just trying to make the most of the money while he's working and replace everything thst needs it plus have a couple of breaks.
Had a long conversation with DS1 last night about his debts and told him to ring CAB or CCCS to try and sort some sort of debt management plan out. His partner admitted they had no food only some bread in the house:eek: so I sent some money across via internet banking. I hate the thought of them with no food.Havent seen him since before Easter as he's had no money for petrol. He's coming over Saturday for work so am planning to do him a food parcel up.
We've spent so much time worrying about him and his finances. I'm hoping he manages to pick some more work up as he's had a couple of interviews.
OS - have cleaned all the downstairs floors, WM is on. Not doing a lot else, except cooking a breakfast for DH when he gets back from work.
We had a bif thunderstorm last night, part of the roof of DS2s workplace apparently collapsed(Morrisons) but I've since heard they are reopening this morning at 10am so he can go to work as usual this afternoon.:T
NPM - go to the docs and get time off work until you leave - dont struggle on x x x
jackieG - (((hugs))) x x
Have a great day all
take care x x xDo what you love :happyhear0 -

Hugs for you honey xxx
:rotfl::rotfl: Oh dear not sure I want your first overriding memory to be me moaning

It's weird, we've had a several months of him sleeping really well and it's like it's all gone to pot again. H said he was clinging to him for most of the night - I just feel at a loss as to how to make this all better. And suppose am secretly feeling that this ISN'T going to get better  and that forever more me and H are going to have to share our couple time with DS being up
and having to support him going off to sleep every night. I really hoped he'd grow out of this (as not sure if it was ASD or not) but the older he's getting the worse it is.
Anyway I am going to shut up about this as it's depressing me and I don't want to be feeling this way, fed up already about my complaints as I am sure you lot all are too. Am tempted to take me and DD out to the camping shop in Arley just for a trip out and stuff the housework

I didn't mean it like that
It just sounded familiar to me as DS1 was going through a really bad period of night time walking the house episodes, and what you said really resonated with me. I'm sorry, I am a bit clumsy this morning! As I said, you moan all you want, you need to let it out somewhere, that's what friends are for. xxx It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your window

Morning all,
It really rained last night, we had a huge thunderstorm at tea time and DD1's friend had to come and seek shelter in our house with her terrified dog.
At least the garden has benefitted, my peas and squashes seem to have doubled in size overnight and the potatoes are finally sprouting, I thought that something had eaten them.
Tea tonight is some of the huge pile of mratballs from the freezer that I made last week and pudding will be the last of the Easter egg chocolate. Washing is out, hope I get home before it rains.
NPM my thoughts are with you, I hope that things improve for you soon.
Lowesy, I recommend as brisk a walk as you can manage, it started me off with DD1 when she was late.
Have a lovely day everyone.:)0 -
Dear Bitsy you know that everyone here is totally sympathetic about how down DS's sleep patterns make you and how it affects your life. Please don't feel you have to bottle things up - don't they say a problem shared is a problem halved? My DD1 didn't sleep through the night until she was 3yo and DD2 was 4yo. I remember going to work feeling drunk on sleep when I started getting undisturbed nights. I read various books about taming toddlers and such like - but I could never ignore them being unhappy. A rod for my own back I know, but each to their own. I tried to have a bed-time routine with calm lavender bath and then gentle snuggly story, but that often sent me off to sleep before DD! Hugs and carry on sharing xOutside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog it's too dark to read.

Morning everyone
Just wanted to say to Bitsy - are you under CAMHS? It took me 2 years to get melatonin on prescription for DS2. Like you I had tried everything in the book, but made no difference, 1 of the caseworkers made me feel like a bad mother and was so patronising and it was only when she was replaced that the new caseworker suggested this. He is on 2mg per night and it does make a difference. If he is waking every night, is unsettled it may help as a short term measure to get your ds back into his sleep routine, they can prescribe it at camhs. I know exactly how you are feeling with the lack of sleep over a long period of time, I used to get everything going as I was so run down.
Will post more later.0 -
Morning all, been MIA all last week and not caught up with everything yet- I know some of you need hugs though,so heres a big assorted pile:grouphug::smileyhea:kisses3:.
We found out on Friday that our expected grandchild is to be a girl :j,lots of pinkness. Its nice after having 2 sons, but I'd have been just as happy with a boy-I love children full stop.DS2s ex has started being off with him again for no apparent reason, sent him a text the night before the scan saying she wished he didnt have to go and not to speak to him so as not to spoil her day
.I'm glad he didnt tell me about that before we went to the hospital (her Mum went in with her, then they let me and DS2 in for a quick look)She was wiping tears away as we went in,Ds touched her hand and asked if she was ok but she didnt even acknowledge him.I feel so sorry for him as he is trying so hard.He has given up on them getting back together but would like them to be on friendly terms for the baby's sake.
RIE- I am certain that back pain is affected by tension ,emotional state etc,as his back has been really bad over the last week when his ex has been horrible
He's now been off work 3 months with it,and still hasnt seen any physio on the NHS,just offered pain killers.
We had to go straight from the scan to my ex Sis in laws wedding, but just made it before she got there. We ended staying the night at the hotel ,and enjoyed it all very much,it was a lovely wedding.
OS- reduced lamb in the slow cooker turning into curry, smells good.Put a few bits of bendy veg in there too,and half a bag of sad looking rocket :rotfl:
Off to sort out some more washing-cant go on the line tho'-keep getting the odd shower.
Have a good day folks x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -

Raspberry leaf tea apparently softens the cervix according to herbology making it easier to dilate etc.....so sounds like the herbal equivalent of a crow bar/WD40.....:D Worth a try I would suggest....But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green
