...Not feeling great today. Feel carp due to horrible cough and cold and another disturbed night with DS... No hugs needed, probably more like a good shake and to get a grip ....

Bitsy, can you sneak half an hour's power-nap to refresh you?
Raspberry leaf tea apparently softens the cervix according to herbology making it easier to dilate etc.....so sounds like the herbal equivalent of a crow bar/WD40.....:D Worth a try I would suggest....

    Hi all
It's a tad lonely in the Wolf's Lair today, as Terrier Ted has gone home.:( Not to worry; Candy will be coming to stay on May 20th, for 5 days.;)

Hester  at DS being arrested; although it was an error, it must still have been an awful shock!

Cheapskate best of luck with your interviews.:o

NPM wish I could offer some help for you – sending posi-vibes, anyway. (((HUG)))

Butterfly Brain oh, poor you – I hope you're managing to at least find some tasty mush to eat. I sympathise, as I have to live on mush when I get my bouts of mouth/throat ulcers.

Lowesy no tips for you I'm afraid, as I never had children, but would baby-get-your-butt-out-into-the-world vibes be any use? (((HUG)))

    RIE Just.... (((HUGS)))

Bitsy I know you said no hugs needed, but have one anyway. (((HUG)))

Rosyred sorry to hear that your DS's ex is being so hard on him; I know very little about such things really, but wonder could it be pg hormones affecting her attitude? Just a thought – and a hope that she might lighten up a bit once the baby has arrived.:o

I do wish I had a bit more practical help to offer all of you with troubles - I feel like I'm a right useless mare at times!:( Still, at least the internet allows me to offer hugs - something I can't actually cope with in RL.:D

As for OS.... I actually completed the Flylady list yesterday (go me!!):D, and today I have towels and hankies out on the line. I wanted to wash the tea cloth and towel I loaned Ted straight away (he came sans towel, and I use a dedicated tea cloth for drying dog dishes) so thought I'd have a blitz on the other hot-wash stuff to fill the WM.:o

Got our finances all up to date, too, which is always a good thing - seems like we can still afford to eat for the rest of this month.:rotfl:
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

I didn't mean it like that :o It just sounded familiar to me as DS1 was going through a really bad period of night time walking the house episodes, and what you said really resonated with me. I'm sorry, I am a bit clumsy this morning! As I said, you moan all you want, you need to let it out somewhere, that's what friends are for. xxx

I know you didn't, don't panic I was being a bit self deprecating :o Not clumsy at all, sorry didn't mean to upset you xx
    Morning everyone

Just wanted to say to Bitsy - are you under CAMHS? It took me 2 years to get melatonin on prescription for DS2. Like you I had tried everything in the book, but made no difference, 1 of the caseworkers made me feel like a bad mother and was so patronising and it was only when she was replaced that the new caseworker suggested this. He is on 2mg per night and it does make a difference. If he is waking every night, is unsettled it may help as a short term measure to get your ds back into his sleep routine, they can prescribe it at camhs. I know exactly how you are feeling with the lack of sleep over a long period of time, I used to get everything going as I was so run down.

    Will post more later.

I have no idea if we're under CAMHS :o The centre that diagnosed DS no longer have any involvement as school sort of took over. With regards to his issues at home.....no idea who to speak to HV I presume :o Thing is a few months ago his sleeping settled down and as long as he doesn't wake he can sleep through albeit from 9pm onwards. But last few weeks it's been slowly getting worse and we can't leave him to get distressed too much as he ends up waking DD. I can usually tell when he's attention seeking and when he's genuinely upset and it's definately the latter.

the getting him to sleep earlier is really for my benefit, feeling the lack of "couple" time with my H rather keenly at the moment (and some "me" time too truth be told) and melatonin won't necessarily stop him waking in the night anyway. I know he can do it, he has done but for some reason he's getting all stressed about bed time again :(
Bitsy - Must be awful for you is all i can say....can you ignore the pre-sleep attention seeking bit ? - Thanks for the advice...i need every bit as i've never been camping :o. A friend has offered her's to try out and see how we get on

Dharling I don't "do" camping I always go "glamping" ;)

Try the tent for a weekend if you can. You might find you don't like it all that much ;)

Anyway packed DD off in the car and went to the camping shop. Feel a bit better mentally after a drive in the countryside and sunshine and some fave tunes. Bit disappointed in the new store though, not sure when it opened but it's not as good as it used to be :(

One load of washing hung, another one in WM. Might look at making new baby card for friend.........

Have finished painting the dresser :j, but I dont think I like the colour :o, its a bit too dark, looked ok out in the sun, but now its in the house it looks darker :(, will have to wait for OH to come home, to help me lift the top on etc, and will then take some photos, let me know what you think.

If its too dark, we may be able to have a shift round and put it in the conservatory, otherwise I think I may have to paint it again :o

    Afternoon All

Hugs to all those with troubles, sorry not much advice to offer apart from to find out as much as you can before making any decisions.

DW and WM on, ran out of time this morning, this car sharing lark with DD is harder than I thought. Just because I don't leave as early somehow means I then run late?!!

The weather is pants, windy and wet most of the time with the odd bout of sunshine. Keep thinking that DS2 will be soaked on his camping trip in Mull and if it's as windy there they may not even have a tent!! Still no more word from DS1 and GF - I wonder if they will come over at the weekend as DD and DS2 & GF will be here along with some family friends.

Did manage to hem DDs work trousers yesterday (a job I hate) only for her to tell me that the other pair need fixing. Will have to be a good mum and do that tonight. May make a carrier bag holder out of pretty T towels too if the machine will play ball.

    Take care. XX

Card made and more washing hanging on the line. Been more productive than I imagined :o

Had (nearly) every girls dream earlier, the fire brigade knocked the door. Sadly two of them were women and the other bloke.....well lets just say he didn't match the image I've seen on some calenders :( Shame really as if he'd have been better looking I'd have let him in to play with my smoke alarms ;)

Hi Chums I managed to fill the crack in the wall in the porch and did one of the walls in there then it got just too hot to paint, so I came inside and did a washload instead and hoovered round. Then I thought I'd check my online amounts in my EDF account and found that I have been overpaying them somewhat on my electric bills,so rang them up and they agreed and they have reduced the monthly DD and they are going to repay me £200.00:j:j
What a result I had a feeling I was overpaying them but hadn't checked it since before Christmas. They said it will take 18 days for a refund to go through but hey I'm really pleased as that extra cash can go into the holiday fund.I also managed to streeetch out the left over chicken with lots of veg to make a decent sized pot of curry so two portions have gone into the freezer and one in the fridge for tomorrow nights dinner.Altogether three luches of soup and four dinners from my tiny 99p chicken :j:j
Tomorrow is supposed to be a bit cooler so if I get stuck in before the sun does come around to the front of the house the porch will be finished.
<<hugs>>to those who are going through a rough time at the moment.Just going to get the washing in from the line as it looks as though its had a good blow so I can get it ironed tonight with luck.
    Take care all
