I've got one.:D
If yours is missing right-click on the menu bar and 'Customize...'.
Then drag the 'Reload' button onto the toolbar.:cool:Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.0 -
You do have to change some settings to get things how you like it - including using About:config. It has an annoying "switch to tab" which prevents you from reloading the same page in two different tabs, unless you hold down shift or something. This interferes with the way I browse, so will have to find an addon for it.
I noticed that it mentioned this on the Mozilla website but I then realised it let me open 2 tabs with identical pages at the same time? Only if I have bookmarked them though - if I start typing them in the address bar it just gives me the "switch to tab option" instead.
Don't know if that's any help to you!"Things can only get better.................c/o D:Ream #The 90's"

Actually I think I misunderstood you!I thought you meant that if a URL is bookmarked, you can type it into the address bar to avoid the 'switch to tab' message. It seemed to work for me when I used it earlier, now it's back to the normal behaviour. The simplest explanation is that I was mistaken in thinking it worked that way at all...
From re-reading your message, I realise you meant to use the bookmark itself, not just to have a bookmark (which alters how the address bar works if you give the bookmark a different name).
I've gotten used to browsing by hitting the address bar, and typing 'T' or 'F' or 'F2' etc to get to where I want to go - and I use this in place of the refresh button or F5, just because it's oddly quicker for me.0 -
Thanks everyone for your many replies!
I upgraded to firefox 4 earlier today - it does seem faster so far? I have a 19" screen so no need for extra space so I have added the menus bar back in as on the previous version because I like to see them!
I currently have adblock plus add on enabled (as suggested to me by russJK!) should I use no script thingy too?
depends on how tolerant u are of it: I do use when using FF; but my primary browser is now Opera 11 without NS (do have Element Hider though to deal with advertisements etc. }
yes, adblock plus is excellent :cool:BLOODBATH IN THE EVENING THEN? OR PERHAPS THE AFTERNOON? OR THE MORNING? OH, FORGET THIS MALARKEY!

After a using it for a while I now prefer the new look. I use a netbook with a small screen and get more browsing space, however if you want to restore a version 3 look do the following:
Go to the Firefox Button -> Options -> Menu Bar
Hope this helps.

Where is the Firefox button that people have mentioned? I can't seem to find it on my browser.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

The Firefox button is what replaces the menu bar if the menu bar is disabled. To disable the menu bar, you right click on the address bar somewhere and untick "menu bar" option from the little popup.0 -
I upgraded to FF 4 a couple of weeks ago and it was terrible. Lots of crashing and freezing. Like some others I thought it was something to do with my computer until I went to the Mozilla forum and found lots of people there with the same problems.
In the end I uninstalled FF 4 and went back to FF 3.6. Aahh! What a sweet relief0
