Thank you for your reply. I also thought that they understand that in the recession people spend less. They can remove me if they want but I am not going to be spend more just to remain in their panel. Just not right.
you should let them know you scan absolutely everything and quote the first line on their website "ShopandScan is a market research survey measuring the purchasing of households around Great Britain" - and say you are part of that ...just because you don't buy as much as the average family or more, your data should still be taken into consideration

I have received a letter from Shopand Scan telling me that I "have been scanning little or no shopping recently". They said that they think they did not get a reasonable amount of barcodes from me in the last few months. They said that "hope I remain in the panel however, failure to scan all my shopping may result in termination of my panel membership".
What do they mean by "reasonable" amount of barcodes? I do scan every product I buy and never failed to send them the barcodes. I shop on offers/deals and dont buy a lot. Could it be a problem? Have anyone experienced the same from them?

I was removed from Fact Finders food eaten out panel, although they were aware when they signed me up that I rarely buy food or drinks to consume on the go

So guess same applies, they want to report to their paymasters how we are all buying "stuff" but choose to kill the messenger if message does not comply to group think

I also never realised there was a petrol panel, but I think I would soon be chucked off as I only refill every couple of months due to low mileage

I think you have to apply to them. If you email them through contact us and tell them you are interested.

They do a lot of panels, webview, petrol panel, food on the go, skypanel, the food diary.
