I've been saving Shop and Scan points with the intention of putting them towards the cost of a holiday flight. This can be done by changing points for a travel card and booking using "Travel By Inspire". From looking at their website, the flights I want are significantly dearer than I can get them elsewhere.

Has anyone any experience of dealing with them and if so what where they like? In particular, will they make any effort to give a better price if I call them?

Hopefully someone can answer this really simple question!

I've just had Screenwise installed by an engineer, but once the network was installed, he switched my internet network back to BT rather than using the panellist-SSID network. Looking at the user guide online, I think I should be connected using panellist-SSID rather than the BT network, but when I asked him, he said I should continue to connect through my internet provider, and that the web meter just piggy backs onto this to get its information?

If I connect using my BT router, I can't access the sign in page for Screenwise so how do they know whether it is me or my partner that is browsing, or have I completely misunderstood what this panel is about?

So, basically, what I want to know is whether I should be connecting to the internet using BT or panellist-SSID network.

    Thanks!

I'm fairly certain that you need to connect through the panellist-SSID - I can't see that they can possibly record anything about you unless your data is going through their router.

PS: Where is the on-line user guide you mention? (sounds like it's possibly something else they haven't told me about!)
  • Last week i got an invite to the food diary for the first time. I wont be doing it again its too time consuming too much effort. Maybe if it was £20 then i would be more inclined to do it. But its the first and last time im doing it.

I jus installed Screenwise today and all seems to be working OK, although there were initial problems with my Slingbox. One area that perplexes me though, is how is the TV viewing data collected as there is no connection to phone line or Internet?

I would imagine it's got a wireless connection to the router.

But it's only the small diary now isn't it, it didn't take me long to complete it.

I would prefer the big one still. Even though that one took quite a while to do over the 2 weeks, getting £15 in points was great.

Im on my last day today and Ive been thinking maybe its not so bad I might just do it again. Its just getting all the information from other members of the household thats annoying.
How often do they ask you to do it?
  • Well theyve asked me if I wanted to do another food diary straight away so Ive accepted. Will they keep sending it to me every week?

I do the online food diary about 4 times a year and usually after the 1st week they ask you if you want to do a 2nd week but I have never done it for longer than 2 weeks so I think thats the max if that makes sense?
